a couple linen WIWs

In the first photo, I've only had the skirt on for an hour! Talk about wrinkles.

Suggestions for improvement welcome! The second photo is with a pale yellow belt - not sure if something darker would be better.

LOVE that gorgeous skirt in #1 and how you've styled it with the more casual jacket!

I think #2 looks great as-is. This is more casual and girly to my eye than a darker belt would be, which emphasizes the bombshell aspect of the hourglass silhouette in a pencil skirt more, I think, and ends up reading more 'polished' perhaps --- unless you went to town with a very feminine or craftsy belt with more than one colour, eyelet patterns, suede etc.

I love look #2 and think the belt is fine as is for a nice tonal neutral outfit and keeps it looking cool.

Pretty! I don't see much wrinkling from here, but if its' linen or cotton, that just goes with the territory. I love the flowy silhouette. On the second one, I'd really like to see a bright belt to reallys tand out. I like the volume up top with the pencil skirt on the bottom.

I like both of these. The linen is beautiful (blouse in the second picture?) and the different silhouettes are fun. I like the blouse belted, it gives it a nice shape. I love the handkerchief hem of the skirt in the first outfit. The jacket you've chosen is just the thing to wear with a bright and funky skirt. And what a pretty smile you have. You must treat us to it more often!

Handkerchief hems are a winner in my book. Both looks are lovely & can't wai to see what lse you do with the linen skirt As the weather warms up - I'm assuming you're moving from spring to summer.

I like #2. I like the top and skirt in #1 but am getting stuck with the boots, I think my brain has moved to open footwear already...

#2 works great.

For #1, I might go with a simpler top, because the linen skirt already has a lot of movement in it. With the jacket, I'd go for slim pants so the jacket can be the diva.

Hmmm ... I think you guys are right that #1 is too much going on with the skirt, jacket, and boots. It was 42 when I left the house this morning and got into the 70s, this time of year confuses me!

Love the shape of the top in #2, and it's easy, tonal feel. I like #1 as is. I see IK's point that the top and the bottom both have "star" quality, and you can certainly try other pairings, however the colors and shapes are quite pleasing to my eye!
