I have spring fever! I planned this outfit last night when I only saw the high for the day. W/hen I left in the a.m. it was still 37 degrees. Yet it was boiling in the coffee shop where I had a meeting.

I need to take these jeans shopping...not feeling the top so much anymore. The proportions with these and the way they fit me are a bit tricky. Has anyone seen any cute ivory/white blouses with some style? Also, it may just be me, but I feel like these pants can veer into frumpy/trying too hard territory very easily if not styled just right.

P.s. I had plans to change into sandals later in the day, but it never happened.

FABULOUS, Dana. I just saw this on Instagram. Your pants are KILLER, and far from frumpy. The coral pattern is fun an Spring-y. Specs are KILLER too.

Gap has some really nice white linen tops right now -- what seems like good quality fabric in a variety of cuts/silhouettes.

Angie, I know that V.C blouse very well. I'm not sure why I've never tried it on?? The surplice blouse is VC, too...a few years old and maybe a little blousier than I want.

I think you look great! I see no frump, as the jeans fit great and seem current. (I would have trouble with those jeans, but light and/or patterned jeans are my nemesis -- I love them on other people and never like how they look on me!)

How about a chambray/denim or other pale blue top with those jeans? That's always a nice color combination if you want to try something other than white.

I understand your question of "Frumpy?" Dana, only because sometimes a distinctive pattern can look a bit too "done" when worn with overly matchy items. In this case, you nailed it and I think the look is perfect, not frumpy but fresh. The cool girl boots and your effortless hair style give the whole outfit a youthful and easy (not "trying too hard") vibe. Nice!

Janet, I like your idea of chambray (light blue looks terrible on me,) but I wore so many denim and chambray blouses in the 80's/90's, I just can't .Wish I could!

Lesley, now you have me rethinking my other shoe (sandal) choice, lol! A heel of course. I've worn them with some Vince Camuto super strappy peep toe booties, but yesterday they felt a bit busy all of a sudden.

Angie, that's a small. It seems impossible that I'd wear an XS, (in my head I'm a M,) but I am going to try it. I think Vince Camuto runs about as large as WHBM sometimes!

I LOVE the pants! I find great plain interesting tops often at Banana Republic. I snap up white or ivory plain tops whenever I find them there. They go with everything.
