So I will start this story backwards: yesterday on my 38th birthday I had an A-ha moment. Cinderella's "marrying the prince" fairytale actually has deeper meaning: her sunset farewell was more about finding life worthwhile- that life was worth living- every moment of it- high and low, up and down, overweight and skinny, stressed and relaxed.

I knew I wanted my birthday week to be about rest, relaxation, family, love, clothes (!!!)  reflection and connection.

Mr Sona and I took our first vacation sans bebe in years. we went overnight to St Croix, WI starting off in a vineyard with wine, cheese and chocolate: I wore a Rochelle Behrens the shirt silk shirt in a bicycle print and my true religion jeans with a silver belt and silver loafers, post wine we headed to a fantastic bed and breakfast.
Well just as we reach the B&B I realize that hubby forgot to bring my garment bag that had all my clothes. I cried, he unhesitatingly drove back to the cities and back ( an additional 2 hours back and forth!). Well then we kissed and made up. it was kind of funny that Angie posted about lingerie the same day. I wear 100% cotton underwear and supportive chantelle / natori bras. I wear them for myself. I've learned that lingerie as a seduction tool is overrated. only one of my negligees was used!! ( wink.)

I wore the black dress to dinner: peplum mini from Victoria's secret with black strappy sandals, white and green Indian jewelry, Kate spade bag.

The next day I wore a pink top with cutout shoulders that made its way to the garbage bin as I did not think it did me any favors. White jeans, long pearl jewelry, a cuff f rom my sister and silver ballet shoes completed the outfit. We stopped in tiny towns along the way, hiked a couple of waterfalls and in general had a relaxed, rejuvenating, romantic getaway.

On Monday I dressed casually in the Olivia moon green linen bomber and jeans ,changing into a lighter citron shirt and yellow loafers for bebe's spring fling in the evening.

For my birthday I took the day off and had told my husband I wanted the celebration package at a downtown spa. I got a massage, facial, spa lunch, manicure-pedicure, blowout and mini makeup package. rested, relaxed, wonderful. I wore a hi-lo Presley Scott dress in blue with the black strappy sandals again ( fyi: I need  a wide width and these are from Ann Taylor online).
We enjoyed dinner at home with all of us dressed in our fairytale best. I started that day with a pineapple upside down cake baked by hubby and bebe.

I love where my style journey aided by Angie and the forum is taking me. I am totally at peace with my body and while I am saving for the belly nip and tuck: for now I am happy.

Thank you all. I have a lot of reflections on my style journey but that will be for another day. Thanks for reading and helping me along my Cinderella path.....
