Although I'm a "bob girl" at heart in terms of my hair, I've really been longing for shorter, choppier layers, and my stylist delivered exactly what I was hoping for. (I gave her a kind of nebulous description of what I wanted to do, and she immediately popped into the back room and returned with a photo of what I was trying to articulate.) I love my stylist!
She started with a basic angled bob and then razor-cut the heck out of my hair. It's quite short in the back - less than an inch at the nape of my neck (though not so short that she would need to shave my neck) and it's longer and choppy in the front. I am going to have a lot of fun playing with texturizing products.
Photos below are when I got back from the salon, so it's a little more flat-ironed than it would normally otherwise be. Like Angie, my hair tends to look its best a couple weeks into the cut, but I already like it a lot. It's fun to have a change and to go shorter than I've been for the past 3 years.
