A beige kind of day

I admire all of you who is able to continue putting together beautiful winter outfits. I’m so done! Didn’t even bother to style my hair! My mood is fairly represented by the today’s outfit. Beige mood for another day of below 0 temps and some blowing snow.

I was browsing the Massimo Dutti store after returning my online order and saw nice cashmere sweaters in what I think as Angie’s colors Although I can’t wear these colors, I thought that I probably should buy one puffer in orange next winter to cheer me up in Feb/March.

The bright puffer will have to wait. Went to COS and bought a summer linen dress! Instant gratification!

It's very cold here, but sunny, so it's seems springy despite the frigid temps. You look fabulous and very chic in those neutrals, as usual :)! Your new spring/summer dress looks perfect! An orange puffer sounds like a great idea for next fall/winter. I have a short red and blue plaid puffer that I wear all winter (I think of it as gear since it's really only for walking the dog--I was sort of leery about the brightness of it when I bought it, but it's been a workhorse), and it does feel very cheerful, especially this time of year when spring is around the corner.

Yup, those are my colours! I just got Summer shirts in them to replace some worn out ones. AND I have a new oatmeal pants suit with cheeky cropped jacket that I've worn three times with brights already.

You do beige very well.can’t imagine it ever being warm enough to wear a linen dress at the moment but it will be soon enough and it looks lovely.

Your everyday winter looks are so chic and sophisticated . I love it . The only thing saving me from madness is a new putty coloured lightweight swing puffer jacket . The rest of my clothes are feeling very heavy , dark and tired . It’s still cold here and the snow is not melting yet . I might lose my mind despite my new jacket .

You do look chic in your textured beige and I’m with you on longing for spring to hurry up and get here. March is a tricky month, one day its hints of spring and the next day, its snow showers.

I think a jolt of orange in the form of a puffer sounds like a great idea for this time of year and that’s a beautiful blue linen dress, I always love a dress with pockets.

Jonesy, I had a red short puffer years ago and loved it. Don’t know if I will dare to go for an orange now.

Angie, yes, the dress look very similar. Funny about the color - light blue makes my eye look greener.

Suntiger, the necklace is pearls, a gift form DH, I often use it to lighten my mood. Here I also wear pearl earrings, also his gift for my 1 year anniversary since I quit smoking. A milestone!

LJP, I feel lost a bit with an upcoming season. My winter outwear is mostly beige and black. I want something bright but doubt it will be versatile in my wardrobe.

Dee, I’m a recent convert to summer dresses and all of mine have pockets! Maybe because they are casual but I can’t imagine wearing one without.

This is beautiful and calm on you, Irina, and the lightness does gesture to spring! I'd call this taupe -- a mostly cool beige tone -- or oatmeal, like Angie, and it suits you beautifully! Love the textural effect of the scarf and shoes, too.

Style Fan got an orange puffer a few years ago and has never regretted it. I had a bright pink one for a while but it wasn't quite the right pink for me (too warm) so I passed it along. I do think that in your climate a bright or light coat and a few bright or light sweaters are key to getting through March without going stark, raving mad. Even in my climate, the lavender wool coat really comes into its own this time of year.

Bijou & approprio, I need a new piece to work with the rest of my wardrobe. I think orange looks good with navy and beige. I bought a new, colorful bag for the spring but I should consider something for the last months of winters.

Love your outmeal head to toes outfit, I don't know how you do it, very chuc and not boring at all! I'm all excitet to see that pop of orange new puffer with your calm outfits-think will look gorgeous-and you will love it! The new linen dress is also fab, vannot wait to see it IRL! Cheers from a day of true Sping here (yet am still wearing my bl&w's in the office...:-)-just topped them with a baby blue outer layer for a bit of hope (blue trench, a printed tonal scarf and blue tote).

I am so over winter! It has seemed long this year.

I love this outfit! It may feel blah but doesn't look it at all. It would also look great with a bright puffer.
