80’s bubble dress for a cool change in weather

OK I am the first to admit that for most people on the forum a 23C day is not cool weather. However, since only a couple of weeks ago it hit 37C, it is cooler and I am loving the change. I bought this dress (in photo 6) in Feb and will wear it during lockdown because I like it’s 80’s vibe. Shoulder pads and bubble skirt, my goodness I was sold.

Also have included my work day and weekend, comfy at home and doggie walking outfits. I have been taking photos mainly to see if the looks work. So all styling comments and suggestions welcome. Into week 5 of lockdown and working from home. Me and my workmates have been swapping photos of our happy pets and have a half hour cup of tea and chat daily, so not going completely crazy just yet.

Of course, I am so with you on the weather! Loving the cool change after our long hot summer.
I have a real soft spot for the sporty style of picture 2 reminds me of lacoste shirts.
My team has a daily chat too. Highlight of my work day!

I adore 1 and 6, but your casual looks are cute too. Our team also has social calls yet with 3 of us also minding young children they tend to be super chaotic and always for at least one person inconvenient ... today is a good day and I can laugh about that ;).

Anne - it is nice to have that social interaction, it definitely has helped me get to know some of my colleagues from other offices better.

Liesbeth- working from home with young children is hard. My DS is 11, so it is much easier. Bijou often comes into my office panting, so I have to explain that it is the dog not me when on a teleconference.

Torontogirl - glad you like the red dress. It is a bit out there, but comfy to wear and fun in the current situation.

What a fab collection of outfits. I love the red bubble dress of course but the fur is awesome too.

We are in week four and have the hard lockdown ending on 27/4 then two weeks of a slightly less restricted lockdown, then we will see, but maybe it will end.

Slim cat - the bubble dress is fun. Whilst I was a teen in the 80s I never wore a bubble dress in that decade, so it is fun to wear one now.

Rachy - You can’t feel sad when wearing a bubble dress, even in lockdown.

Lisa - I would love to visit Canada but seriously wonder if I could cope with the climate. I see your outfits and think if I was there, I would be wearing so many layers that I’d look like the Mitchelin Man.

Cardiff Girl - the best thing about #1 is that if is like wearing my PJs all day.

Sal - in WA we are doing really well too. We have very few cases other than overseas travellers and cruise ships that hit our shores. Hoping that we will be back to a less restrictive form of lockdown soon.

Shevia - glad you like #1, it is a nice thing to wear on the weekend.

Suz - the layered jeans look is so practical to wear. I have had this vest for years and don’t love the colour, but it is so useful for inbetween days.

Wow, you knocked it out of the park again. The bubble dress is very you! And of course it’s Cue! I hope they make it through this downturn.

Bijou, actually, Duran Duran WAS on world tour this year - and they cancelled it...

Brooklyn - I am not even going to think about Cue and Veronika Maine not surviving. They even manufacture in Australia. I am trying to support local businesses as much as sensibly possible.

Angie - hope the world tour resumes in 2021.
