I had planned to wear a different outfit today, but quickly changed my mind when I saw Angie's post as I new I could put this together in a jiffy. Super 70's fun!

I paired my flared jeans with a pussy bow blouse and an older pair of clogs that keep missing the donate bin. The bow on the blouse is hard to see in photos, but it's there.

The only thing I couldn't decide is: Untucked or semi-tucked?

Pussy bow blouse - Joe Fresh
Flared jeans - Gap
Fringed purse - old
Clogs - old

Belt: Fossil

EDIT: Pic #5 - I took Tanya's and Cheryle's advice and did a full tuck bloused out after I read their comments. Thanks fabulous fabbers!

Great look, very 70's chic. I like it semi-tucked. I would have probably done a full tuck, even more 70's like.

Thanks Tanya for the suggestion on a full tuck, I might find a mirror and try it before school starts. My pudgy belly doesn't usually look good in full tucks, but this blouse is loose enough that I might be able to make it work.

Great nod to the 70's Karie. I really like the PB blouse and would also try the full tuck bloused out. The fringed bag is so reminiscent of the 70s but also so on trend. Fab.

Thanks everyone! When I got to work and before school started, I read Tanya's and Cheryle's comments about doing a full tuck. I decided to give it a try and I liked it, so I wore it that way all day. I figured the blouse was fluid enough that, once bloused out, it hid my belly enough.

This was a nice ensemble to wear to work and then for an evening out with some teacher friends to celebrate our vacation next week. My happiness factor was sky high!

Thanks ladies! I always think a full tuck will never work for me because I am reversed in what should be flat. I've got a flat chest, round abs, instead of round chest, flat abs

Somehow oddly enough a full tuck can work if the rise on my pants is lower. This surprises me because I would think it would just add extra bulk to that area. A trick I learned from Aida (but didn't need to do because this belt buckle is flat) is to put the buckle off center - that works in not making the center front stick out too far.

I usually don't post so early in the morning but I'm sure glad I did for this post as I was super happy with the full tucked version!

I think the full tuck works here because of the flare in the jeans. They balance any roundness anywhere else, which by the way isn't that noticeable in photos. It's funny, I wore my boot cuts today and did a full tuck also. I wore a Breton stripe though. I'm not sure that's 70's, is it?
