We are very blessed in New Zealand to be once again almost free of Covid, being islands in the South Pacific who can control our borders. So we are allowed to have parties, and my husband turns 60 tomorrow so we had a Saturday night James Bond party and asked the guests to dress to theme, which almost all of the 30 people present did. Lots of women in glamorous outfits and men in tuxedos, plus one “Q” in a lab coat and even one Austin Powers! ( Wrong movie, but whatever, we did say they could come as a secret agent or villain!)
It wasn’t easy trying to be a gorgeous “Bond girl” when I am 59 with short hair- but I was happy with my efforts. Most of the female guests are in their 50s as well.
I used “Pam Bouvier” a CIA agent from the 1989 film “Licence to Kill” as inspo
( pics 1 & 2).
Pic 3 my pixie done as best I could like hers.
Pic 4 outfit.
Pics 5 & 6 the birthday man as Bond with a 007 martini.
Pics 7-10 house decorations the afternoon before the event.
We all had fun and even his 89 year old father/84 year old mother were there sitting in the chairs in pic 8 all evening.
