I haven't posted much lately, but browse through every now and then. The YLF forum and community is fun and inspiring as ever.
It's fun to see how my style never is fixed and how I now incorporate more colour and white accents. I think I've stripped down my outfits more lately and I'm more into bags than before (but I don't have many!). How would you descripe these outfits in terms of style?
# 1-2. I wore this to DS1's school gathering with parents right before summer vacation kicked in. I felt fresh (but cold!).
- Yellow lace top
- White cropped jeans
- Striped jerseyblazer
- Light loafers with metallic details
- Blue/silver bag (bought at Nordstom rack, Chicago a year ago)
- Wool/silk/linen blend scarf (it was just too cold without, but I took it off as soon as I got inside)
#3 A casual day at the office in neutrals. Normally I wouldn't wear distressed jeans, but I felt appropriate by dressing them up with a preppy blazer and doted top. All the students are gone and everyone at the department seems to go into casual land - even wearing tunic and tights.
The preppy blazer is a bit tricky for me and is not into rotation as much as I thought when I bought it, but I think I managed to depreppy it a bit. This outfit looks a bit washed out, but my energy level was below zero and into brights.
- White top with dots
- Cuffed faded, distressed jeans (somehow I like to cuff them instead of hacking. Maybe because it sort of echoes the patches)
- Striped woven blazer
- Light loafers
with metallic details
- White/metallic tote
#4 Raspberry dress. I really loved it and got to wear it a few times, but after washed once it shrinked and I looked like a stuffed sausage, lol. A least my best friend was very happy for it and it fits her really well.
- Raspberry dress
- White sneaks
- Maxi linen cardi
- Blue/silver bag and white/metallic tote
Thanks for looking!
