At the end of week 7 I have 31 outfits using 32 pieces of clothing (excluding shoes and scarves and under layers for warmth). While I’ve used 32 pieces total, I’ve retired two pieces, so I’m still at 30 pieces. ish:). And since holidays and other random occurrences meant I got to 30 outfits on a Thursday, I added today’s outfit as a bonus. So again, 30ish.
I am aiming for the dressier end of the business casual spectrum, without looking corporate.
1: Blush sweater, grey herringbone skirt, grey floral scarf. The skirt and tights are both charcoal grey, though they look almost black in the pic.
2: Blue pleat neck shell, grey blazer, grey pants. I like the blue and grey together, and used a fun necklace to try to keep it from looking too corporate.
3: Teal button front shirt, marled cardigan, black straight leg pants. I wanted to try my new loafers with this outfit, but they didn’t arrive in time.
4-6: Black and white diamond print dress, burgundy cardigan, new burgundy heels. The heels are suede and patent with pointy toes. Pictures 5 and 6 show the detail on the shoes. They rubbed a little on the back of my left heel, but a bandaid took care of that and they otherwise felt good all day. I’m hopeful they just need a short breaking in period.
7: Blue metal trim blouse, grey boot cut pants, multicolor abstract scarf. I love the colors in this scarf, but it is definitely a statement piece, and I struggle a bit with how to tie it.
I’ll post a wrap up of my challenge and what I learned from it a little later.
As always, any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
