At the end of week 6 I have 26 outfits using 32 pieces of clothing (excluding shoes and scarves and under layers for warmth). While I’ve used 32 pieces total, I’ve retired two pieces, so I’m still at 30 pieces. ish:)
I am aiming for the dressier end of the business casual spectrum, without looking too corporate.
1: Burgundy sweater, plaid pencil skirt. This skirt is new, as I was trying to add more patterned pieces to my wardrobe. I know it isn’t a very bold pattern, but baby steps... I also liked that this skirt had the faux wrap/asymmetrical front.
2: Black blazer, grey boot cut pants, teal cowl neck shell. I don’t like the super drapey cowl with cardigans, and since I wore it last time with my grey blazer, this week it gets paired with black.
3: White pleat neck shell, teal open cardigan, black boot cut pants. This is the third time I’ve worn this cardigan during the challenge, and I still am not completely happy with it. This time I didn’t like the black pants and boots, I should have worn grey pants and heels.
This week I only have three outfits. One day I worked from home due to the weather. I am not counting today’s outfit, which is casual wear. I wasn’t sure if I would be working today or not, and while it turned out that we are working, the vast majority of people dressed down due to the uncertainty, so I think I made the right choice.
As always, any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
