I have been somewhat MIA the last week, and I apologize. My DD was sick, turns out she had strep throat, so I was home most of hte week. I did go into work for some meetings I couldn't/shouldn't miss, but spend most of the week working from home, or just hanging out with her. For some reason I couldn't bring myself to log on and participate properly. I figured I'd save up the weeks outfits for one post, combining both my work and casual capsules.
I can't promise to catch up, but I will try to participate more!
Work:
1. This would be #8. Appears this is the only work outfit for the week! I came in for a couple of hours only. Re-wearing the burgundy pants, adding in a new sweater, repeat of the EF tee.
Casual:
2. Worn to work, but on Casual Friday, so part of my casual capsule. I was planning on including this top in my 30, but not these jeans. But I enjoyed wearing them, so will wear them again. In fact I did, on...
...3. Time to bring out the tees... spent part of the day watching DD in a synchronized swimming competition. This Lole cardigan/jacket is perfect for this as I can stuff it in a bag at the HOT pool and not worry about it.
4. More hours watching synchro. Found this tank top by accident a week or so ago, and it's so me, I had to buy it. Black, great fit, graphic print in colours that I love, and a design that I could handle! A couple f summer tops was planned for my casual capsule because of synchro competitions, so I'm fine with this being one of them. Also wasn't planning on including these harem pants as part of my capsule, but for some reason I was really in the mood for them. They were great for the pool, so I may wear them again for the next competition in a couple of weeks.
So there we go. Caught up. My stats so far:
Day 20, 16 looks. 31 clothing items total; 18 for work and 16 for casual. Obviously there are a few of things that I've worn in both, which is good!
OH! Another new item. After lusting after Janet's Sorel boots for a year, I decided to see if I could find some. And I did. And it was well worth the effort - I LOVE them. So comfortable, and perfect for the weather we've been having. Got a ton of compliments on them this weekend, several from total strangers. So handy knowing people who have great taste in footwear AND seem to fit the same styles
