30x30 outfit 29 black, gold and blue

Challenge outfit 29. Yesterday, I was at home - no make up and lounge wear.

I pulled out an old black Cavalli jacket, which I have not used for quite a while. It is short and fitted and it has broad, padded shoulders and gold details. It is a fun piece which reminds me of times long gone I layered a longer black asymmetrical silk blouse under the jacket to extend the length. Then I added an Italian silk scarf, which to me has the same vibe as the jacket. The scarf is black with some blue in it - so I used blue trousers and black semi patent boots. Then, I took out a chunky gold costume jewellery chain necklace and added that (I almost never wear it) and a vintage patent leather Ferragamo handbag. Took some pictures to see if it is possible to actually wear this combo, or if it is far too much. But I think it actually works.

What is your opinion? I am grateful for you looking, for honest feedback, ideas and whatever comes to mind.

It works very well! Black and blue always pair nicely and the gold zipper pulls on your jacket echo the links in your chunky necklace. The gold hardware on your vintage Ferragamo and the gold stripes in your scarf pull each exquisite piece together. Fantabulous!

It definitely works! I love black and blue together in any case, but the way the scarf ties them together is bonus. Gorgeous as always!

I think the gold necklace is super cool and really makes the outfit by tying together the other gold bits as Mainelady mentioned. Love the blue pants too — just a little bit unexpected (I feel like a lot of people would go for solid black) and it gives another layer to the look that ups the stylish factor.

This look is not overkill at all, it is just-enough-kill. I love the necklace -wear it more! It looks especially good with the scarf. I like the navy black combo- much more interesting than solid black, but still provides a tonal look.

The black and blue combination I have learnt here on YLF and Sterling has inspired me to try it. In the past, I would have used just black bottoms with this jacket. I love this for me new combo. Yay to you Fabbers!

I think the print in the scarf ties together the blacks and the navy and love the statement gold chain necklace for brightening all up! I think it works well!

Absolutely works, and glad this is a test outfit and not your loungewear as I first feared. I especially like it with the scarf tied around your neck in #3.
