The Dre olive jeans were a no brainer to start off my casual 30 choices. They are so comfortable, I'll be wearing them a lot... I have many sporting events in the next couple of weeks that will involve driving and sitting, so it's really important that at least some of my casual clothes are as comfortable as loungewear... which these are.
The challenge aspect of this outfit was to decide what black sweater to wear. I have three that I could have worn with the jeans, so which one do I want to repeat over the next few months, if the other two don't make the cut? I chose this one - it's a bit heavier, has texture, and an asymmetrical zippered neck. Definitely a "deep winter" piece. This outfit is a bit more casual than I usually wear to work, but we had a delayed start due to the storm, and I had no meetings, so I wore it anyway. It's definitely one I'll be happy to repeat on upcoming weekends.
Now... to think about the two sweaters that didn't make the cut. One is fairly old, but has come back into frequent rotation since I got these jeans. It doesn't have a lot of life left, as it's fading due to washing, but I still really like how it fits. The second is more of a work one than a casual one, at least for Casual Friday's, and while it doesn't get worn a ton, I think it still holds a place. So no purges happening yet.
Boots are Doc Marten. Taking advantage of no snow!
