3 x 10 Challenge - almost there

Like Bijou I am getting a bit sick of some of the pieces, but I am almost there with four pieces to wear one more time in the last six days. And I am wearing an outfit tonight that combines two.....

Anyway, here are three more remixes of challenge items. Sorry the photos have loaded out of order.

Photo 1: Two looks seen before with the gold sweater, and one with the teal coat as well.

Photo 2: Teal coat. I also pulled out my old favourite black dress from the holding zone. It is a bit shorter than what I prefer at the moment so I am still on the fence. I am going to keep the coat but am also looking for a longer coat that is a bit more modern (single breasted, straighter cut)

Photo 3. Todays work look. Bairly JFE to my eye, but I do love the textures and colours. Not great posture here. Coldest morning of the year.

Photo 4 - black tunic. Worn with black pants to a seminar. It was lovely to see the sunshine. I liked the buttons and the necklace together.

Photo 5 black tunic. Firstly with navy boots, tights, long sleeve tee and a navy, black and brown scarf. Second look is with a black long sleeve tee and brown suede tall boots, and a mustard, red, green and black scarf ( a gift from my artistic SIL who designed the print herself).

your commitment to this challenge is commendable!

interesting how different things look on the body vs hanger. i'm looking at the blue coat in particular. it is smashing especially over the dress in #2.

also digging your hair, esp in the outdoor shots. how much/little work is it to get it in that restrained bob pouf?

Very nice outfits- love #4 and 5 ( jewelry and scarfs are great! ). I think you’ve done extremely well putting outfits together and doing different combinations - not an easy challenge to have!
Your hair looks so pretty in the sunshine.

bj1111 - I am very lazy with my hair, but I did rough dry it that day. No product. I am lucky that I have a lot of volume with my hair. The coat was great in the past with dresses at knee length or even with the right ankle pants. The low vee neck makes it feel a bit 1960s, which I am stepping away from.

slim cat - after a couple of weeks of mostly rain, fog, mist etc I was so happy to get out in the sunshine. I have found this black tunic fun to play around with - it was a good piece to pick as it is versatile.

Like bj1111, I’m admiring your hair. I think this length is perfect. And, the column of black with the dress, tights, and booties - Wow! Wow! Wow!

I’ve really enjoyed this challenge, but I’m a repeater and a formula dresser. I have 3 items that I need to wear once more in order to meet the target. One item might get passed on after the challenge, one item is getting a break until the fall, and I’ve fallen into re-love of another - so it might see more wear this summer.

So good! Love the teal coat and the black tunic is its own advertisement for the versatility of a simple black dress. Love it with my favorite blazer of yours (in black or in white) and the first picture in #5 is my favorite. What a successful challenge!

I am liking my hair this length too, I need to keep it off my shoulders as it quickly becomes a bit too overwhelming and messy.

I am a repeater too. I wish I had only included one blouse instead of two, and I should have chosen a more seasonally appropriate scarf. Mine feels very much a spring scarf and weather has been the opposite.

The black oversized tunic is a good piece for work for my needs. Easy to mix up, works with a belt or without, and with a jacket, long sleeve top or solo. My other go to is black pants with a blazer or jeans and a blazer.

Some really different and creative looks. I too love the black tunic and see how it is a nice replacement for your shorter black dress.

Fab sal, I especially love how the cropped pants look with your brown boots and jacket in #3 ... So classic but also feels current. YLF!

3,4,5 are especially smart! All of these look great though. IKWYM about shorter length dresses but I think yours looks great. I've been wearing mine with taller boots either mid calf or OTK to fake more coverage. YMMV but you look fab!

Thanks Bijou - it is a useful tunic, it can be a bit shapeless, and layering is not really my strength so I was pleased how it came out looking in the end.

What I am pondering, is that when you wear something that is a "good look" but maybe not "my look" - how picky to be. I don't think I have a signature style as strong as Deborah or Brooklyn or Kelly (or many others too) - so I sometimes think I wear good outfits but that might not be my best authentic look....

Well I think you look great.

I do see some experimentation with the tunic with pants plus jacket. Sharp, modern and interesting. Did you enjoy it?

No 1 and 3 look fab and very you.

I hear you about the dress in 2. It’s a great LBD but that length would also
feel too short for me now. You could shorten it to a top or wear a skirt extender under it to make it a midi (you’d only need another 15 cm). Or just keep it until the mood for shorter skirts returns.

I like the LBD, but I’m a known short skirter. Chunkier shoes to balance out the top might feel better with it.

I like the teal coat, and how cool to have a scarf made for you!

You’ve done well. All your outfits look good and have maximised the pieces. I got sick of taking photos and felt I was wearing the same thing. I really like both of your black dresses and how you change the looks with a jacket (teal coat is gorgeous)or the change of scarf. It reminds me of the challenge of someone who wore the same dress everyday but with different accessories. Not long to go now.

All are great! Very interesting combinations. I especially love how you have styled the black dress and the black tunic in many different ways - pictures in 4 and 5 are outstanding.
I also really like the golden sweater with the scarf - such perfect colors for you.

Suntiger - I love the colour of the teal coat too.....I do wish it was a different shape but it is worth keeping.

Haha Sally - I have one more scarf to wear once! Yes I do think black dresses are such a good blank canvases to wear different accessories with.

Fasintern - I agree, chunky shoes would be good. I don't quite have the right thing and have decided (I think) not to follow the combat boot look. I like it but I am not sure that it is me.

Brooklyn, I did considering cutting the dress into a top at hip length. I think I am going to donate it, it's in good condition and would be great on someone just a bit shorter than me.

The back dress with the teal coat is my favorite look of all of them. That color just looks so great! I hear you on the dress length, though. Lately, I always feel a bit twee and girlish in that above-the-knee length--the opposite of the "elegant" in my (and your!) style descriptors.

I really love the long-sleeve tee under that cocoon dress/tunic, too, which is a combination I wouldn't have thought of myself. It's such a great way to winterize it, and keeping the tee the same color as the dress makes it more elegant than a contrasting color would be.

Wow, these all look great! You have a very cohesive wardrobe! I love that teal coat, and your belted camel jacket looks so chic! I really struggle with tailored pieces that tie at the waist, but you are making it look effortless and fab.

The tunic look in #4 is KILLER too. The scarves in #5 are a vibrant and elegant touch!

Absolutely love the last 3 looks-wowx3 and those in nr 1 think were already praised once. The only one which is a bit contoversial is the dress in 2 -I felt the same about it's overall length and... aren't the sleeves on that amazing coat on the shortish side for it?

Jonesy - what kind comments. I am struggling a bit with my winter clothes this year so it is reaffirming to hear that.

Nemomom - don't be, it has been very unpleasant....wet, soggy, and now cold and windy. The coat is staying (but I have may have online ordered a new one today...)

Jenn - that's it! I actually would prefer either shorter or longer. Keeping the coat - it works with enough pieces - and I can fall into the trap of thinking something has to go with everything......
