so I've been spending lots of time sewing lately....

Here's 2 recent finished projects

# 1-2
Wearing this to work today amd I've already gotten sooooo many compliments. I made the cute tanktop. Skirt is from a resale shop. Can't believe how well they go together.
This tank I made from a pattern

# 3-4
This dress is a hi-low dress made freeform. I just traced an existing dress I had and just went from there. It turned out pretty good. Next time I may wear a belt with it.

Great job! You must be very talented to make a dress without any pattern at all. They both look great on you and I love the pattern of the dress in #2.

I'm really happy yall love #2... wasn't sure if it looked frumpy. It's hard to tell from these angles, but it really hangs much lower in the back.

You suit the bright colours in 1 really well and I like the proportions of top and skirt. Is that a type of flounce around the armhole in 3? It's a cute feature

yes, I added a small ruffle / flounce in the second outfit. I added it to hide a bra strap from showing... lol

I don't know if you're actually tall or your pictures are just tall.

I'm tall, but only 5'-8ish
I wear 3-4 inch heels all the time

Love to see you creativity in action. You seem to be finishing with bias trim, with is a great touch. Love both looks!

They both look terrific, and you completely rock them!

You do really dress tall (I suppose the heels help that out). I'm a bit taller than you, but feel like I look no where near your height (but I also wear flats). You rock that height!

Congratulations on both your creations. The trim on the tee makes it tie in beautifully with the skirt - clever detailing. The pattern placement on the dress is delightful.

Fabulous job, Teri. I absolutely love the top and it goes perfectly well with the printed blue skirt. The dress look great too, can easily be transformed from day to night with appropriate accessories.
