I just wish I had a better idea how many more it will take.

I was planning on going out and doing a little gardening--pruning some and maybe planting some 1-gallon plants, but it's getting dark and drearier by the minute. I don't do well without sunshine.

Continuing with my older, seldom worn necklaces. In 2002 we did an Amazon cruise. Lots of fun, we were at the Captain's table. He was from Sardinia and a last minute substitute to fill in for a sick comrade. He gave us a private tour of the bridge.

At Santarem we stopped in at a little gift shop where DH, who once took classes in diamonds and colored stones, spotted some loose colored stones. We paid $100 to buy 4 of them.

I had them set--this is probably a citrine but could be a topaz. Can't remember, or the # of carats. It is made to be worn on an Omega chain as well, but that seems too dressy. I haven't worn it much lately, but it gets a turn today.

Worn with the last of my V-neck Boden sweaters from last summer, jeans and those Mephistos. I changed my mind about going outside. Also with one of the best items I've bought, a Patagonia jacket bought to wear on a long airplane trip, now very useful and often worn. I don't know about this color combination normally, but no one is going to see it except you guys and DH.

Last is one of the four: a tourmaline, which I had set similar to something I'd seen in a store window. I do wear this one more frequently.
