Hi everyone. In light of all of the beauty product posts lately, I thought I’d share some products that I’ve tried and loved. About 8 months ago I began the process of eliminating parabens and phthalates at my doctor’s recommendation. The cruelty free is a personal preference. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin so I can’t speak to whether these products have potentially irritating ingredients. If you are using products that meet the same criteria I’d love to know what works for you!
Makeup
Evelyn Iona Natural Organic Gel Eyeliner - This product is every bit as good as my old Bobbie Brown gel eyeliner. It does not budge, yet is easily removed with some oil at the end of the day. Wish they had colors other than black.

Han Cosmetics Eyeshadow – The color payoff and staying power is fantastic. No temptations to return to MAC after using this product. Just wish there were more colors.

Ecco Bella Flowercolor Lip Gloss – Fabulously smooth, not sticky, not too glossy.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara – This product thickens and lengthens. It’s more dramatic than a “natural-look” mascara, but not too much for day-to-day wear. I like that it doesn’t smudge or deposit under my eyes, but comes off pretty easily with soap and water.

Scent
Christy Organics Trance Natural Perfume – To be fair, it’s not the longest-lasting product, but I really connect with the scent. I made peace with it’s limited staying power by enjoying the ritual of putting it on in the morning and knowing the scent is subtle enough that I won’t overpower anyone who might be sensitive. I like adding a little to my hair.

Face
French Girl Organics Lip Scrub – I NEVER would have dreamed that I would buy a lip scrub. I have coconut oil and sugar at home! But
I just love this product and plan to buy more when my sample runs out. It smells heavenly, effectively exfoliates, and leaves my lips very soft. It is now a must for me on days that I wear lipstick.

Drunk Elephant Baby Pekee Bar and Juju Bar – I have slightly dry skin that is prone to breakouts. These bars are gentle and not drying.
You use one bar in the evening to remove makeup and cleanse and the
morning bar gently exfoliates. I prefer the small size of the “baby” bars to the full-size product.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum – This makes my skin
noticeably brighter, helps clear up acne scars, and keeps my breakouts at bay.

Acure Marula Oil – Good for my slightly dry skin. Marula oil absorbs quickly so it won’t clog pores. It is also a carrier oil that will help carry any serum you’ve applied deeper into your skin (or so they say).

Hair
Acure Pure Mint + Echinacea Stem Cell Clarifying Shampoo
and Conditioner – These products clean and moisturize without weighing down my naturally wavy hair. There is another version of the product with a lemongrass scent that I did not like.

Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salk Hair Spray –
Smells great, texturizes my hair without leaving a sticky residue. I like it better than the Kerastase product I used to buy.
