I have these booties in the Roccia python print and they have become wardrobe workhorses already. So I was delighted to see them also pop up in this rich burgundy, the trend colour of the season. They are also available in this gorgeous New Nude Leopard print, a style they ran last year and has made my top picks list before. We are spoilt for choice! This is a super comfortable bootie and ideal if you like to wear low-heeled footwear. Heads-up: they can look long on your feet. Modern, refined and very versatile.

Biala ‘Keely’ Cap Toe Oxford
This cap toe oxford is a fun and very on-trend walking shoe. It is beautifully made, extra soft and very comfortable. You might need to size up if your feet are wide. It will look equally fab with straight-legged or tapered jeans and trousers and casual skirt and frock ensembles. Both the graphite and dark teal are super colours.
Naturalizer Bates Booties
These sweet booties look better on the foot. They are just the type of bootie to wear with dresses and skirts because the tops don’t gape (they fit snugly around the ankle). They are quite cushioning, but will not work for a broad foot unfortunately. They run true to size and look really streamlined with slacks, skinnies and bootcuts too. Fab heel height.
Miz Mooz Ansel Oxford
Like most Miz Mooz shoes, these have a soft footbed and are made of soft leather. The heel is stable and at a great little height for just about anything: from dresses and skirts to jeans and trousers. I found that they ran about half a size small, but others have found that they run true to size. Available in green, black, brown and this deep red.
Steve Madden Maxximus Bootie
This is a great bootie for a slightly wider foot. A fairly narrow opening makes it ideal for a dainty ankle and narrow calf too. The leather is soft and the footbed can be made more cushioning with an insole. The fold back can be turned up for a slightly longer silhouette. With a stable 2-inch heel and slip on access, it’s an easy go to shoe for colder weather. Available in black and taupe.

Naot “Gleam” Bootie
These booties look much better worn under jeans. Trust me! Israeli footwear brand “Naot” makes extremely comfortable shoes that mould to your foot once you put them through their paces. A great dressy walking shoe perfect for travelling and casual occasions. They have several colours too so don’t let the patent put you off. Note that as I write this they are on sale for $128.
Clarks “Cone Sweet” Bootie
Hallelujah! A comfortable and good looking pair of 2-inch heeled shoes. This little bootie is trendy, sassy and quite versatile. It has a padded foot bed, a roomy toe box and super stable heels. The leather around the ankle is SO soft, you can’t even feel it against your skin when you walk. Available in brown, black and plum, it’s a no-brainer under boot cuts and any style of denim. But it’s just as fabulous with skirts and dresses if you keep the leg and shoe one colour. I’m really impressed with these little darlings.
