Ruched puffy sleeves are not for everyone, but they’re a great little retro trend if you want to have fun with 80’s fashion. Needless to say, I’m all over the look and bought the black in this style. It’s going to be a sublime Spring wardrobe update and I especially love the length of the sleeves. It doesn’t itch. Be warned that the cut does run small.

It’s probably an acquired taste, but ruched sleeved tops and knitwear are a nice Spring wardrobe update and a great blast from our 80’s past. This non-itch little cardi has a flattering keyhole V-neck opening and great elbow length sleeves. Perfect over a simple camisole, button down shirt, sleeveless shell top or sheath dress. I dare you to give this look another whirl.

The tone-on-tone stripes on this eclectic piece are surprisingly flattering because they face towards the waistline, which draws the eye inward and slims the silhouette. It’s a super shape for both the well endowed and small busted gal. A great layering item and perfect for mild Spring days. Forgiving and comfy, yet cute and trendy. Beware if you’re petite though, as this length will be too long for your short frame.

This turtle neck is ideal for mild Winters and chilly Springs. It offers the visual interest of a layering piece, but sans the bulk and warmth. Sometimes all we’re after is a long sleeved layering T-shirt instead of a warm and woolly item of knitwear. The sheer mock turtle neck does the trick.

This turtle neck offers the warmth without the bulk. Made of a super soft spandex cotton, it glides over the body like baby oil. The collar doesn’t fold over but stays scrunched, which is a cute casual detail. It’s not all that clingy, but makes a great layering item if it’s still too slinky for your taste. Good length, good drape and super cozy.

This turtle neck is sweetly different. Ribbed banding at the cuffs and hem creates a flattering silhouette with a somewhat voluminous waistline. It’s good layered or worn in its own. The slight rushing detail on the shoulder is not ideal for all body types though. It’s best on a narrower shoulder line, so watch out. The best parts about this turtle neck are that it comes in 19 colours and doesn’t itch.

This basic layering piece has length, shape and drape. It’s not awfully warm because it’s cotton-rich but that prevents it from itching which is always a plus. It’s available in plenty of colours in regular, petite, tall and plus. Well worth a look if you’d like stock up for Winter and a cool Spring.

This adorable sleeveless cascading cardigan is fun and flattering, adding instant textural interest to an outfit. It’s lightweight and perfect for warm Autumns and Winters over a knitted top, T or button-down shirt. It will also make a nice cover-up in Summer over a sleeveless sheath or sack dress. Chic, relaxed and very comfortable.

If I wasn’t on a ruffle wardrobe ban, I’d be all over this little darling. It doesn’t itch! The length is perfect for pants and slacks, and it also looks sensational belted over a skirt. The vertical integrity of the soft ruffle is slimming and interesting. Believe it or not, the style works quite well on bustier lasses too because the cut is impressive. It’s available in a variety of colours which makes for a nice splash of life in a neutral wardrobe.

This classic animal print drape front cardigan is gorgeous and a statement piece all on its own. It’s a little more tailored than the regular fly away cardigans that we’ve been seeing this season and super flattering. Cozy, warm and easy to wear. It’s a win.
