This thread is starting the countdown to the last recommended day for posting your Secret Santa gift.

As mentioned before, the date - 28th November - is just a guideline, and I would recommend sticking to it as the Christmas rush is about to begin and postal workers everywhere will be clocking in over-time.

We'll leave about 2.5 weeks until we start opening the gifts hoping that by then we'll all have received ours. I'll start separate thread for that.

A few people who will be posting abroad have asked what they'll do with the customs labels - many will need to write their name and sign it, thus revealing their identity.

One recommendation that came up on Elfster conversation was to sign with names YLF or Santa, with enough real details just in case the parcel gets returned to the sender.

Also, customs labels as a rule require you to describe the item and state the value of the item posted. Tax-free limits for most countries are relatively low and somewhere around our agreed value of the gift (i.e. if you go over the limit the parcel needs to be opened at the customs desk, etc.), so it's probably worth bearing in mind.

I think there were no other questions that are worth repeating here.

Let the countdown begin...
