First, my extreme apologies that this took so long. I don't have a smartphone and the camera is broken so I could only grab my photographer today.
This was a lot of fun, and also hard :D. I looked through lots of recent collections, and it was actually harder for the more 'wearable' looks because I could see how a direct translation would work, except I didn't have the right items of clothing. There were a couple of other looks that I tried but just crashed and burned on. The four looks I picked aren't all 'unwearable' in the runway version, but there is something about each of them I liked. Also I'd wear a version of all of them out of the house.
#1 Junya Watanabe 2014 spring/summer, followed by my interpretation
The most out there part of this is the hair and unfortunately I didn't have time to do that justice, but imagine the beach on a windy day and basically that's what happens to my hair. This is a little more boho than my usual, but I'd wear it.
cotton dress - just for wraps/ bought somewhere online
jeans - rock and republic/kohls
cotton sweater - some days lovin'/marshalls
booties - clarks/tradesy
#2 The Blonds 2014 fall/winter cat themed show, followed by our interpretation (I included some repeat shots because Marcus was posing and mirroring me so awesomely). I'd wear the version with the jacket on an out for drinks date night, with different hair and no bold lip.
leather jacket - lamarque/the rack
velvet tunic/dress - Goodwill
pleather leggings - H & M
booties - Hot Kiss/Famous Footwear
faux fur scarf - Goodwill
long gloves - costume shop
#3 Ann Demeulemeester spring/summer 2014, and my interpretation sans awesome hat. I'd probably wear with flat black booties.
drape cardigan or ponte victorian-ish jacket - marshalls
knit high-low dress - Forever 21
sleeveless patterned top - thrifted (I don't know why the neck is being weird in the photo, it's usually okay)
victorian wallpaper tights - amazon
booties - Hot Kiss/Famous Footwear
#4 Comme des garcons spring 2014, my interpretation kind of combines these two. I'd wear probably without the tights & with the cardigan right side 'round.
backwards cardigan - marshalls
frontwards cardigan - H & M
tulip dress - H & M (is this too big for me?, they didn't have my size so I sized up).
mint tights - marshalls
flatform shoes - Sam Edelman Circus/marshalls I really like these but am not convinced that they are comfortable yet.
Feedback and tweaks welcome. Thanks so much for the challenge Elizabeth!
