I've been wanting to try this looks for AGES and finally did yesterday. It's totally me and I felt fab!

Please excuse the bright yellow pegs in the foreground, my lovely boyfriend didn't notice the indoor clothes dryer rack thing was kinda in the shot when he took the pics...bless him!

Anyway...what I love most about this outfit is that without the blazer, it would be COMPLETELY casual but the blazer just adds that preppy edge to make it appropriate for a casual Friday!

My BF loved this outfit and really likes it when I look quirky.

P.S. I wondered if anyone else has tried this and also, what's the best way to get wrinkles out of blazer sleeves? Just iron it? Because I love scrunching the sleeves but don't love the wrinkles it produces in my nice blazer!

You look fantastic...I LOVE that blazer.

Depending on how bad the wrinkles are, sometimes hanging it in a steamy bathroom works for me (I usually do it with shirt though).

That is such a perfect boyfriend blazer look! Wow, do I want that blazer.

If your sleeves are going to be scrunched most of the time, try not to notice the wrinkles. If you need to have the sleeves down and don't want to iron, Megan has the best idea. What's your blazer made of?

Tara - this is gorgeous - I love the blazer contrasting with the rest of the casual vibe of the outfit. I have a great steam iron and I juse extra puffs of steam and iron the sleeves. You should have it on a lower setting for a blazer and/or have a thin piece of fabric in between the iron and the blazer.

What a great outfit, Tara. Love the blazer, skinnies and plaid shirt, and the cons the perfect compliment! I think the wrinkles in the sleeves are just part of the look, no way to avoid that! Fun outfit.

Cute and a little va va voom, if I may say so. I find that wrinkles fall out of my blazers on the hanger, but I guess it would depend on the material. I really like the way you scrunched yours.

This is a fun put together casual look. As far as the sleeves on the jacket I do have something to offer. Yes, just iron the sleeves. But iron it when you take it off before you hang it back in your closet. Letting the things hang ironed seems to make a difference in my experience.
