When Angie posted this Utility Pretty ensemble, I though immediately of an outfit I could wear like it, and today is finally the right day for it.

The outfit (worn for a day off): Olive utility pants (Madewell, cropped by me); olive, blush, and purple floral floaty silk top (made by me); blush 3/4-sleeved cardigan (Halogen); blush clutch (J.Crew); and nude ankle strap pumps (ALG) OR pewter d'Orsay flats (Walk, Frankie).

I'm going to wear the flats today, because they feel less fussy, but I really like the pumps with the outfit. What do you think?

Heavy on the pretty. I really like this outfit. Those pumps look wonderful, as do the flats. And the sweater and clutch make it so polished.

I love it, Sharan! Both with the pumps and the flats (the colour of the pumps goes extra well with the pinks in your outfit:-)
That blouse is absolutely gorgeous, and the ladylike cardigan adds in extra pretty. Wonderful with the clutch too, and the pretty earrings finish off the look perfectly.

Very nice! I prefer it without the sweater, and with the pumps, but the pink and olive is a really wonderful combination! Reminds me of the pink and gray combo that was my favorite as a teenager.

It is a VERY pretty outfit! Lovely blouse.

I love both pairs of shoes, and those pumps are great (I'd be drooling over them if I ever wore heels, and might still look into them for a special occasion shoe...), but I think the flats work better with this.

Thanks, Berkeley Girl. The heel is very low and easy to wear, if you do need an pair of occasion pumps.

Thanks Firecracker! I think I will try them on, at least. I love both the style and the, obviously, the colors, which would be such a good match to my wardrobe. It would be great to have a pair of pumps on hand for those times when the need arises... especially a pair that is both pretty and comfortable!

ETA to add that they are, alas, sold out!

BG, after I saw your first comment, I looked around to see if I could still find them, and I only found them on eBay. But there was a similar low block-heeled style by AGL more recently. It is a comfortable brand overall, when it fits your foot. Anyway, good luck!

I agree it is very pretty - and the heels are great with it, but I would opt for the flats for a non-work day too. Olive and pink are a really nice pairing.
