Hope those are accurate descriptors. In my quest to wear more of my graphic tees (discussion on that here) I decided to thrown one onto an already-planned outfit for today. Now normally Monday is Dress Day, but since I only have 12 of them, I'm re-evaluating when and how often to wear them. I have almost twice that number of skirts, so skirts will be subbing in for dresses on Mondays occasionally.
Originally I had intended to wear this black pinstripe midi pencil skirt with only the silver button down, but realized a tee over the top and tucked in with a belt might be cute. This tee is not one of the heavier weight ones I'm challenged to style, so it isn't really representative of those struggles, but definitely does represent how I'd like to wear my tees more often. (Also, it's NOT a band tee) I added a wide belt that is part leather and part something crochet looking, black tights and block heeled ankle booties. Not sure I like the back view of this outfit, but still evaluating (by the end of the day I'll know how much I like it, or not.) I do like that the skirt has a front slit, it prevents the skirt from being too stuffy in my mind. I am wearing a new lipstick - matte hot pink! I felt like it was a fun accent color. Also 2 necklaces tucked under the collar of the button down, close up so you can see the cameo which appears to be the goddess Diana or some such mythical female. From a distance the outfit almost has a school uniform look.
