Hi ! Here are some WIW's for the last few days. The weather turned suddenly cold midweek. I'm adding more detailed descriptions for Michelle, any correction from better versed English masters welcome!

Pic 1 Monday:

"Channelling My Inner Françoise Hardy"

Françoise Hardy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h3zy113Nqg, full outfit from about 2 minutes on;

- Bootcut black leather pants
- Black 3/4 sleeves round collar knit top (from Costco)
- Black Clarks booties
- Golden butterfly pendant on a chain.

Pics 2-3 Tuesday

"Blue Elephant"

- Light blue high waist palazzo jeans with elephant legs
- Turquoise nylon top
- Turquoise a-line knit cardigan
- Turquoise, light blue, light pink cotton long scarf, rolled around the neck and tied to the front;
- Purple puffer quilted banana purse (insulated winter purse);
- Heeled platform blue suede Unisa boots

Pics 4-5: Palazzo questions

Q #1: are these too long? Is there an optical illusion giving my legs major stump? Would shortening them slightly give me more height?

Q#2: Do you prefer the top tucked or untucked?

Pics 6 -7 Wednesday

"Nothing To Wear 15 Minutes Late"

The abrupt drop of temperatures caught me by surprise that morning. I changed and changed until I finally settled for the only thing that matched my then only warm jacket other than my leather jacket or my white Michelin Tire puffer. Boring, but efficient:

- Bootcut tweed dress pants (lined) (worn with tights underneath);
- Roots black leather belt;
- Black knit round collar top (warm cami underneath);
- Clarks black booties;
- Grey boiled Merino wool zipped cardigan. The zipper is cut in biais.
- Jacket: black Gore-Tex insulated wind-breaker. Square, un-stylish, a tad too big because I got it on sale, but warm: the only thing that stopped me from shivering. Awful day.

Thursday: didn't get out.

Pics 8-9 Friday:

"Funky Button Dress"

I got this bell sleeve shape, large round collar knee length dress in Spain. It's from French designer Nowhy. It is grey knitted wool, ample fit, and has funky colourful wool threads broadly embroided everywhere over it (purple, green, red) . Three oversized black decorative buttons are affixed down the front with threads of different colours going over each button : one green, one turquoise, one purple. The embroidery style is simple, dotted lines or crossed. The collar is black.

- Nowhy dress (cami underneath);
- Solid purple tights;
- Blue Suede platform knee height Unisa boots
- Bow decorated black half mittens.

Pics 10 - Footwear question:

Which of the following footwear do you prefer with this dress+tights combo? You already saw with the boots. Here are more possibilities:

Pics 10-11: With red Hush Puppy flact Mary-Janes;
Pics 12-13: With purple bow "Mini-Mouse" pumps;
Pics 14-15-16: With grey suede platform high heeled Mary-Janes.
(Earlier in the season I had decided these were too tight for me, but trying them again I realize it's just that the heel is so high, my foot is not used to be in that position, and my toes take in more pressure. Now I am tentatively trying them again, maybe as 2-hour shoes?)

Pics 17-19: Saturday

The "Still Cold" Outfit

Even with all this, I was trembling all the way to my bones walking around town.
Pic 17: How I initially got out of my house. I am wearing:

- Olive green pointy kitten heel Josef Siebel booties;
- Gray legging tights (wool sock inside booties);
- Simon Chang bell shaped jeans Midi embroided with golden glitter;
- Grey boiled Merino wool zipped cardigan;
- Black leather cropped biker jacket;
- Gray mittens.

I was still cold. I had to zip up my jacket all the way, and add a Merino wool tube around my neck and my blue/black/mauve tuque with ears (pics 18-19). And I was still cold!

Pics 20 -21: Finally, DH took pity of me and brought me my Christmas gift in advance. I am so happy! May I present to you... my new down coat! Now THAT is warm!
It is a black parka with a cinched waist, mid-thigh length, down hood with coyote fur (90% road-kill, 10% from northern native communities hunting).

The last pic is a panoramic collage my son made of my bedroom while I am putting outfits together. I thought it would be of interest to you to see it.

Thank you for looking!
