Today's outfit is a bit experimental. Hubby and I went to meet the local bank manager and I used the opportunity to dress up just a bit, still bearing in mind I need to feel comfortable to cycle there. It is all based on my basic formula of skinnies + boots + turtleneck + jacket, but I tried to add a twist with an accessory I rarely wear these days, a dangly necklace for when I take the scarf off and to offset the effect the pants had created.

The 'experimental' bit comes from the pants themselves. This style, bought at tall ladies' shop, comes with very high waist but I never even thought of tucking things in until I saw how somewhere one lady wearing them that way. Because I wore the jacket, I felt a bit more covered hence braver to try tucking the top in, but I'm unsure about the proportions, it looks like 1:3 to me. The funny thing is, the waist of these pants sits where my actual (whatever resembles it) waist is, making them sort of ideal just in case it's not difficult enough to find pants of any sort anyway *sigh* I also added the necklace hoping that would visually extend the top part, but did it work?

I initially grabbed this jacket because I wanted to wear the scarf Astrid had recently sent to me and one of the colors revived my interest in the forgotten topper. I love how the pattern and the texture work together. I wore the scarf only with the puffer which came on top of this all.

Excuse the bad lighting, but it's cold at my usual photo-spot (the balcony) and given how insanely long the photo sessions can take I stayed inside.

Bonus photo: the window looking at the balcony (my regular photo spot) is a where this year's advent calendar is installed and a view from the balcony
