WIW: more colors than neutrals this week!

I feel gravitating towards colors more now. Does it mean spring is around the corner?:-)
Unfortunately I do not have a picture of Monday outfit. I wore my olive sheath and when I got to work I discovered that the hem went undone completely! I was putting scotch tape to keep it in place all day and after work dropped it at my mom's to get fixed.:-(
#1-2 Tuesday
Feature my new green top (courtesy of my mom's skill). As it is custom made it is long enough to wear with skinnies. Also I need you opinion on this leather flower pin. I fell in love with it browsing Etsy and bought it. However when i received it I realized that it is smaller than what I envisioned. What do you think? I am considering to add a wider layer underneath (like black lace or organza) to make it bigger but should I? Does it work as is or is it too small?
#3 Wednesday to work
For some reasons I feel frumpy in the skirts. Every time I see the forum members Kari or Sarah wearing a pencil skirt I love it very much. However when I try to copy their looks I feel frumpy and boring! This is the outfit which felt good to me though...
#4 Wednesday to see a ballet
We went to see a Moulin Rouge by Royal Winnipeg Ballet and I wanted to wear something dressy but not too much. The ballet was not in the theatre but in the arena which made it more casual event and also pretty cold!:-) Sequined black top, navy Gap leans, Chanel-esque black/white jacket, grey Franco Sarto boots and a pile of pearls felt like the right mix of dressy and casual.

I was tired that morning so I felt like something cozy and relaxed. I also wanted to wear my owl pendant so black t-neck fit the bill and the teal cardigan added a punch of color. Now looking at the picture I am afraid it was too boring though...
#6 Friday
I could not make up my mind if I should wear a dress or pants so I wore both:
charcoal sheath, bright green shirt, cobalt blue silk scarf, faded black Gap leans, grey Franco Sarto boots. It was also a pretty mild day for a February and I was driving to work so I decided to debut my new leather jacket. Do you think it looks fine with the dress or is it better to reserve it to pants only?

What a great week, I love your colors.

In no particular order:)... I like the pin and its size, but it is worth trying to make it the size you wanted just to see if it'll work as you imagined. I love it as it is - pretty, understated and very intricate.
That pencil skirt is fantastic, it fits you great. I think you have no reason to worry over feeling frumpy whichever way you wear it. I really like the whole combination.
I remain a big fan of your owl. I also love teal on you and find the whole no.6 outfit brilliantly pulled together and not s hint of boring in it.
My favorite is probably your going out combination, it really is hard to beat the effect a pile of pearls does to the outfit. You looked a.m.a.z.i.n.g, I hope you ha d a great time too. One to steal asap

Well you know I tend to be biased in favor of your more structured looks, so while you had another great week it's 3, 6, and 7 that I love!

Sveta, you are just so darn pretty! Gosh, I love them all. I think my faves are 3 and 4. Love the combination with that belt and those boots. Super sleek and stylish. #4 is just plain killer--love the low contrast with the red lipstick and layered pearls. You look like you stepped out of a fashion magazine.

I'm envious of your mom's sewing skills. What a fab top on you! I also love how you wear the sheath with skinnies. My efforts were less than successful. You manage to own that look! FAB!

Another vote for #3 and then #4 over here! You look polished and pretty.

I am also really gravitating toward Springy, flower colors. As our crocus start to peek through the snow, I am particularly fond of yellow, right now.

Vix, I like contrast in how I dress so I try to mix more and less structured looks in the same week. And I cannot agree more on the issue of hip belts, it is a problem to find a good fitting one, especially if you are curvy!
Kelly, I think your relationship with dresses is similar to mine with pants. I find that it easier to style dresses and feel fab but it is more of a struggle with pants. I think this is because I am curvy on the bottom and skirts are more forgiving in that area than pants. You are an IT and it is opposite for you: you are slimmer on the bottom so pants feel more fab to you. However I am wearing pants anyway, it just takes more effort to look fab in them - so you should wear dresses too! How about doing 2 next week?:-)

Patty, yes, very Canadian. That center hosts all possible music and theater venues but also hockey games as well. I felt that I would prefer to see ballet in the theater though - that feels more appropriate.
