Now that the boot drama has been kind of sorted for now, I ran to my closet to pick stuff for the party. I'd already told the host I couldn't pull together a costume (I'd been away, and then sick, this past week), but I at least wanted to look nice, of course, and try mixing it up just a little.
I wasn't expecting to be as crazy for this look as I am. I'm madly in love with it. I don't know how to describe why it works so well for me, because individually the pieces are nice but not amazing. Maybe it's because it all hints of flavors like goth, boho, arty, Spanish, etc without being over-obvious?
Anyway I've raised the bar for my daily arty-casual wear! I may need your help in cracking the code from here on!

The only problem with the beautiful Tahari investment piece is my anxiety around it getting snagged on something. Crossing fingers and saying a prayer....
