Hi,

Here are some recent outfits.

#1-Tan, Black, and Red
There were some suggestions from this post to add red, to this outfit and here is the remix. Thanks for your suggestions!

#2-Hinge and Bermudas
Reviewing this thread on Hinge blouse styling ideas, I noticed Angie mentioned she would wear the Hinge blouse with Bermudas. I've previously also worn the top with skinnies and tucked. I think I liked this Bermudas version best, and I never would have thought to wear an untucked top with Bermudas. Thanks Angie!

#3-Ivory and White
I am copying Amyreh's outfit of pairing these two white shades in this outfit here. What do you think of ivory and white together?

#4/#5-Colorful Sash
I am wearing this outfit today. The sash sits unworn in my closet but has sentimental value. What do you think? The side view is just me showing off my new sandals from outfit #8 below.

#6/#7-And a Miss
I felt very "off" this day. The scarf was too itchy and the fit of the skirt bothers me. Especially in the back. After tailoring, the slit stays wide open. I've been looking for a replacement skirt that is dark wash denim with no fading that fits me for a while now and am hoping one pops up during the fall season.

#8-Prunes and Mushrooms
This is a repeat post from the sandal voting outfit, to include the outfit details below. So technically I haven't worn it yet, but I am going to wear it tomorrow. Thanks for helping me select sandals!

LOVE LOVE LOVE 2 and 8! those are both so fab.
I actually preferred outfit #1 with the black belt from the last post.

Okay, now that I read your commentary I can say that I didn't much care for the denim skirt outfit. I keep clicking between the skirt and the bermudas and the cut of bermudas seems so much more flattering than the skirt.

#2 is the best outfit I have seen with the peacock blouse on this forum - KILLER to the power of KILLER.

I think your instincts are right about the denim skirt--it's okay but it just doesn't do you justice :). I hope you find your Perfect Denim Skirt this fall--if you do, I hope you'll share it so I can snap one up too!

You look fab, polished, and stylish each day, but I agree with others that #2 is such a knock-out! It looks simultaneously chic, dressy, effortless...Just perfect.

Awesome! I love the Hinge peacock blouse with the bermudas - I'm going to try that. And your white shirt fits so nicely! I am on the fence about the skirt, but that's not an area of expertise for me.

Great set of summer outfits that are still interesting (sometimes it's hard in summer because there are less pieces involved). I'm not a big fan of #2 but I think that's just personal taste. The rest are rockin' - love the scarf in 4/5.

Nancylee -Thanks! The bermudas in #2 were a trial run of the style for work last summer, and now it's one of my favorite work items in hot summer months. I find them more comfortable than a skirt actually.

Queen Mum-Thanks! I agree with you, now that I've tried both, I prefer #1 with the black belt too.

Angie-Thanks for the powered killer rating on #2. I think I prefer my Bermuda length shorts over my shorter shorts. A style I always avoided until hearing about them on YLF last summer. Now I have no sticking to chairs in the heat.

Alaskagirl-Thanks! I'm a big fan of the BB no iron shirts. They stay nice and crisp all day long.

Rhubarbgirl-Thanks! I agree, I find it harder to layer in the summer. I've been trying to layer with smaller items (replacing scarves for long necklaces, sleeved items with shorter sleeves or sweaters with open detailing) for interest. I have layering with a vest/waistcoat as the next topic to try for summer layering.

Great set of outfits! #2, #3 and #8 are my absolute favorites (and #2 has made me decide to get that blouse, how is the sizing on it?). The red additions with #1 are a nice pop! Blue would also look good, and cognac if you were feeling neutral I think the nude shoe in #2 really pushes it over the top for me; it just looks so cool! I'm a fan of ivory and white together, and do this myself sometimes (though I don't own a lot in ivory); I'm filing this look away to try something similar with my Bobeau top! I like the mushroom sandals with #4; it's a bit unexpected but works very well, especially with the colorful scarf. I think #6 doesn't look as off as it felt, but I do agree with your thoughts on the skirt; hopefully you can find a great one for fall! I think also tying the scarf more loosely around your neck would help with this one, keep it all more loosey-goosey casual. LOVE the crochet top in #8, and I dig the plum+mushroom pairing!

Aida-Thanks! I got the Hinge blouse in a size small. I also wear a small in Bobeau and Caslon. Hope that helps!

I LOVE 4/5: the Pucci tie/scarf against the crisp white blouse. Looks very cool and clean.
