- favorite white bag
- metallic wedges
- gut-sucker underwear (I would love to find shapewear that is made out of cotton, for summer use. It's either that or I go commando and cross fingers I don't get into a car accident. Help!).

Sorry, again, for the strange eyes. Photographer daughter says my camera just sucks, and that's all there is to it.

Thank you. This shade of green is my favorite color. My statement color. That said, looking at the pics, I think my teeth may be reflecting the green and look a bit green... we'll blame the crappy camera!

No suggestions for breathable cotton shapewear? I don't need major control, it's just that for some reason with this dress, most underwear is not working, except for this shapewear I have that goes all the way up past my natural waist -- or going without any undies at all!

But that shapewear is synthetic and too hot to wear in the summer except at night. Biking shorts might work, but most of those are spandex and not cotton. I suppose a slip might work to smooth it all out, but again, in the summer, who wants the additional layer?

Did I mention I bat for Team Too Hot?

I am a (conditional) maxi-lover, and IMO you look amazing in this! Plus the color is incredible on you, as mentioned.

No help on the underlayers, alas. I more or less do what you do since those babies cling when moving/dealing with breezes -- though I choose a style that is just waist-high and make sure to size up so things aren't ***smooshed*** since I think that contributes to feeling claustraphobic.

Vix, that's my usual strategy for summer. Years back, I bought a pair of La Perla high-waisted cotton boy shorts that were made popular on Sex in the City -- Carrie wore them. I wound up loving them under dresses, so I stalked them online and I think I bought out all the remaining stock in my size. However, they are cotton and underwear doesn't last forever. I am searching high and low for a replacement, but coming up empty... I see the same style in synthetic version but I really really want cotton.

That said, the La Perla's don't work with this dress for some reason, even though the dress is made of a heavier knit.

Oh -- and I've tried sizing up in underwear. If I do that, I get saggy butt syndrome... the underwear bunches and sags at the butt, and that shows through and looks terrible. I suppose a thong is the ultimate answer but I do not like thongs -- I'd rather go commando than wear a thong.
