I had my extra share of fun in getting dressed for two events in recent days.

Last few days were all focused on my son's birthday celebrations. I had to bake, fake or make 3 cakes and I am very tired after all that! That's: fully bake one for the party, sort of fake one for kindergarten (I made the cream from scratch and decorated it, but bought the pre-baked sponge) and make a special one I never tried before for our small family celebration and photo shoot.

But it was worth it, our wonderful boy was so excited he's now 6 and was very happy with everything, and that's all that counts.

Plus, today I went to kindergarten for "The Week of Mother Toungue", a week long celebrations of different cultures where children or their parents come from, and I braved my humble German in front of 25 kids and it was super fun.

Outfit 1 was worn to the birthday celebration we threw for a small circle of our new friends in Germany. I really enjoyed wearing again what was one of my old office uniforms, white shirt and pencil skirt - this is in a way "stretchy structure". The shirt has some elastane in it, so it's very comfortable, plus I love the ruffly detail at the front which masks all sorts of issues. The pencil skirt is ponte knit. The rest of the outfit are my polkadot hose and lace-up oxford booties. Comfort all round and I felt exactly as I wanted - pulled together and unrestricted.

Outfit 2 was worn today to kindergarten. I opted for white turtleneck for warmth mainly as I didn't wear scarf, but we left early when it was still chilly outside. Skinnies, booties and black belt, plus heart necklace with slightly chunky chain. I like wearing jewelry around kids, I think it's fun, and I usually wear chunky bracelets or shorter necklaces when around them. But as I was mostly sitting I knew pendant wouldn't get in the way and I simply wanted to wear it after a while, so this was my chance.

Bonus photos... well, I can't resist If someone can explain me how did these 6 years manage to go by so fast, I'd be very thankful.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like the looks and as usual any comments and suggestions for improvements and styling are welcome.
