First Day of a new job. I feel like a child heading off to the first day of school - jittery and excited all rolled into one.

I went for comfort, both physically and psychologically. I will have enough to take in today without having to fuss over any item of clothing. I also wanted to dress appropriately for the office (until I have a better sense of what the office norm is in terms of dress code) but still interject a bit of my personality. Don't want to look like a corporate drone that I'm not, you know?

Based on wonderful suggestions, I went with my FFBO formula = dress plus blazer. I went with my BR ponte knit v-neck sheath dress and topped it with my graphic front black cut away style blazer, of course scrunching my sleeves. I added small dot hose in black for a bit of whimsy and went with my ancient knee high black leather boots. With the sleeves scrunched on my blazer, I was able to added my bright pink vintage Bakelite bangle - it gives the outfit a small pop of colour and also shows my love of vintage. A good conversation starter if need be. I added my trusty black leather handbag, a swipe of burgundy/plum lipstick and I think I'm set.

What do you think? good choices? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome. BTW good luck to Jenava who is also starting a new job today!
