I went to a four day conference in Florida last week, during which I also had the opportunity to meet up for dinner with the lovely SarahtheWhite. She posted about our meetup here.

The outdoor temps in Florida were super hot and humid, but the conference/hotel were excessively air conditioned so layers were very necessary! I decided to make things easy on myself and go for a capsule of blue with neutrals, which worked out really well. I think this may be my best travel capsule to date. I wore everything in my suitcase.

1: navy dress, white blazer, turquoise/pewter ankle strap sandals.

2: Printed blouse, striped JC Teddie pants, and the same sandals as #1. Scientific conferences are generally super casual (think tees and jeans) but I like to dress a little nicer than the norm. The flip side though is that one can easily look overdressed. These Teddie pants hit just the right note - less formal than long trousers but a bit more polished than jeans. (I also like my long linen trousers for this type of thing but didn't feel like lugging along the big platform sandals that they require.)

3-4: lots of layers for the AC. The scarf and cardi were worn with several of the other outfits as needed as well.

5: I ditched all the layers and switched the oxfords for sandals for dinner out with Sarah. Loose and cool for Florida heat and humidity.

6: my favorite AT blue print dress with the white blazer and red sandals (red is a neutral. Obviously.) The MZ Wallace crossbody was worn with all the outfits.

7: travel outfit for airport/plane.
