Trying out a wiw post via the phone! Photo quality isn't what I'm used to, but hopefully y'all can see enough.
Today I was so happy to be in a place with real autumn (look at my treasures from my latest walk!) that I wanted to wear my handknit burgundy socks that have a leaf pattern on them to celebrate. I love echoing my sock colour elsewhere in an outfit, so next I picked my burgundy cord jacket.
Pairing it w grey is a no-brainer for me (useful as I recover from the insanity of the past couple weeks), but I worried my pleated grey skirt might be too schoolgirl uniform-ish. Instead I chose by grey wool shorts and grey tights. Then I remembered I needed to wear something under the blazer, but my dog definitely wanted a walk (I don't have a yard anymore), so I grabbed this taupe silk blouse and called it good. Finished off w my grey ankle boots & we were out the door!
No jewelry or accessories because I'm still not done unpacking. But feel free to offer suggestions/critiques/etc. Maybe a lighter coloured shirt next time? And how do other people tie the laces on boots?
Oh and yes I bobbed my hair. I love bobs and only had it long for summer so I could keep it up off my neck. I like it cut it as soon as the weather cools down.
