WIW :: Colour with Column of Black

This is one hurried post as I have to run to pick up the kid from school

I've found a new WIW spot and plan to resume the Column of Colour challenge following Angie's recent post.

Although Angie used both black and denim-on-denim in her illustrations of the base CoC outfts, I've tried to steer away from them, but soon found that in my wardrobe it's next to impossible. I have very few coloured bottoms, especially those that would match the tops. I also did not want to use dresses as the base column. I am working that creative muscle

So, today I'm trying to add the colour with the third piece.

These are all favourites, you've seen them before, but not together. The newest accessory I enjoy immensely is the necklace I got as a gift from my Santa Suz.

This cardigan was an unexpected addition to my wardrobe, I bought it as a duplicate o the black one I wear a lot. It surprises me just how much I have actually worn it and how much I love it.

Btw, what is this colour called?

On my iPad the color looks almost neon coral. Whatever it is, it looks amazing on you!

Love! I have been in a similar uniform this last month: column of black (with flat high boots) and various jackets, moto jackets, coats!

I would call that melon - I tend to think of coral as a bit more orangey and melon a bit pinker.

You look wonderful in this outfit, Ornella. I would also call this color a deep coral or maybe watermelon - it is hard to see from the picture. In any case it is a very flattering colorfor you (and you know that this outfit formula is my all time favorite for you -skinnies with a long and flowing top).

Love this! So effortless and so ornella :). Its so easy to get into the dress as column of colour loop. Mainly because its hard to match top and bottoms unless its black or white!

Also that necklace is such a great gift! Yay for Santa Suz! And that color looks coral pink to me. Is that even a color? o_O

I agree, salmon or watermelon sounds much better! But it's not a true coral, which is more orangey red IMO:-)

Btw, given that the colour shows on the monitor pretty true to what it's like in real life, I compared it with what I found on-line and since it comes very close to the shade of the bottom of this colour swatch I'll call it coral from now on.
