A collection of everyday outfits worn in the week when our weather ranged from too-cold-for-summer to warm-enough-to-think-it's-summer.
- Worn to our friend's triplets' birthday party & BBQ. Since they have two boys and a girl who is therefore outnumbered in the household :-), knowing she adores pink color, I started from the colorful shoes. The skinnies and soft cotton navy button-down were the most comfortable/dressy choice for playing with children and helping out. We had a great day and I even got a sticker tatoo which I'm trying not to wash off, the idea of body art is suddenly super fun
- Running errands / biking to town. It was so cold on the day that even the leather jacket was not enough, I also needed the scarf to keep the neck warm. I'm not sure I wore this top for any of the WIWs yet, it's one of the remaining few tees in my wardrobe and I am very drawn to the color. It's some sort of taupe (please correct me if I'm wrong), and the only beige-sh shade that I can stand next to my face.
- It's getting warmer, but the kid caught a cold so we went to his doctor. Cotton breton sweater, new white jeans, I'm unsure whether to taper them a bit or not.
- Back to kindergarden. Same white jeans and red polkadot button-down. This shirt reminds me of Shannon, she has the blazer in similar pattern. It's a very cheerful shirt I can't get enough of and feel like wearing it every day until I exhaust all ideas.
- Today's daily excitements were sorting out various bits and bobs for the house, then the going to physio for my knee. Comfort is the order of the day.
- End of the week, there's a street festival near the kid's kindergarden so we went there in the afternoon. The outfit started with the skirt, moved on to soon-to-be-orphaned top (not shown) which just no longer works (and today's blog post enlightened me about the reasons) and settled with the identical striped top as in outfit #2, just in different color. I am a serious repeater when some things work, and I was literally addicted to these tops from H&M starting two-three seasons ago and I'd still be buying them in every color possible had I not decided to stop the influx of tees to my wardrobe and wearing out what I have rather than adding unnecessary things.
Thanks for looking and commenting, I'm always eager to hear what you think does or does not work.
Have a great weekend everyone.
