I did try with my own narrow striped top, by the way, but it didn't work, and here's why -- the backgrounds and stripes were the same colour. Yours works because the backgrounds contrast with one another.
I love it with the moto, by the way. And I also love that you are with me on Team Wear!
By the way, just for clarification -- in the photo above, I'm not actually wearing a peplum top. This one is just a ruched turtleneck T from a few years ago that is quite fitted through the waist. Here's my actual peplum, below, which I got at the Loft at the start of season. It is made of knit (like a cotton sweater) so it is less structured than some peplums. In some ways that makes it easier to wear, I think.
