I regret that too Angie! Maybe I will improve

I wrote moody because I go from ethnic/boho to pinstripes and pumps alternately as the mood sets or even mix the two..the extremes are such that I cant fit them into one style definition..so yes maybe diverse is the way to go. Shiny, of course is waaay more stylish and sophisticated than I can imagine to be!

Thank you for chiming in for me!

You hold your own, Mirah. You just have to believe it :0).

Angie, I know I haven't posted too much yet, but next week there will probably be quite a few photos showing my current (pre-ylf) warderobe. I'm hoping that will be a good base for discussions on how to improve, and come closer to my goals!

Re the retro look, did you think about the blue vintage dress I showed a few weeks ago? I did return that... realizing I can't keep buying things that are not-quite-good, I already have too much of that!

I know Angie is gone, but maybe someone else can help me?

The words I picked for myself are:
Romantic
Classic
Chic

What do you think?

I never had a chance to respond so I'll add mine since Sarah bumped this up:

I would say others might see me as:

Traditional/Classic
Preppy
Dressy (this is what others seem to say about me and I don't think they necessarily mean this in a flattering way. I think because I tend to dress smart casual instead of casual/sloppy like most of the other SAHMs that I encounter).

I am currently trying to move from traditional classic to modern classic and give my look a more contemporary feel (though I have no aspirations to be trendy). I would also love to have more of a sophisticated/chic vibe but I feel that is virtually impossible with my stature/body type.

Sarah, I like your descriptors, I think they are accurate.

Shana, I definitely think you can be sophisticated! I think it's definitely a "look/style" rather than a body type/height thing.
