Hi Fabbers!

I have a new hairstyle - yet again!

I love smooth, sleek hair. But I don't actually have naturally straight hair. My real hair texture is thick and wavy.....

I've been doing permanent straightening and smoothening treatments for my hair for almost 5-6 years now. The reason - sleek hair is addictive. As a result, my hair is dry and damaged because hair is treated with strong chemicals to make it straight.

The reason I do it is because I'm not someone who likes to fuss over hair. I like a hairstyle that's wash-and-go and always looks smart. I'm not someone who likes to blow dry or straighten/iron hair on a regular basis....I find it way too cumbersome.

Recently, my style has taken a new direction. Polished but casual. More naturally in sync with my lifestyle. And it was time for me to go au naturale with regards to my hair too. My hair needs to grow healthier....and it's time I accepted my real texture.

I was really hating my last hairstyle. It was designed for straight, smooth, sleek hair....not waves. It's one of the reasons I don't post WIWs every day - I hated my hair....and I just had to grow it out.

Well today, I saw a new hair stylist. And I loved her! She's a huge advocate for keeping hair natural and I really like what she's done for my hair. She sent me home with a hairstyle that makes me love my waves and great hair products that'll make them healthier. Yay!

What do you guys think?
