I have a
hair appointment on Monday morning with a new stylist and need your best help
ladies.
I mentioned
it a few times here and there, my biggest frump factor all the time is my hair.
I’m really tired of it.
Just to begin
with, I have the finest/thinnest hair of all. And ageing
makes it each year worse
I feel it
has lost all of it’s structure, it’s
baby soft, limpy and floppy even I take some supplemets against it, wash every
second day, use a ceramic hot brush for styling and some volumizing products,
too).
Also is
vertigiously thinning especiall on front and top crown.(you can see my scalp
through there-see pic.nr 3.).
Adittionally
I have not less than 3 major cowlicks, which are hijacking all my efforts to style i tat home, no matter what the cut
is.
Currently I
have a shorter angled bob, but looks nowhere as would have to look like sharp and edgy like Debora's for ex-and my head is not a bit shapely(so a pixie is forever
out of discussion).
Now, one of
my cowlicks is just above my right eyebrow, exactly on the hairline (can’t think
about proper bangs-see nr 3).
Other one is
on my nape, ont the right side (makes impossible cutting the sides simmetrical on
the back.) It is not to be seen in nr.2, but I swear is there, and causing a lot of mess when cuting/styling.
As my head
it’s quite flat ont the upper back- the
3rd cowlick (which is positioned exactly there) it’s making all it worse (we all like to have a bit of volume
there, yes?-see nr. 1-2.
I am
naturally an ashy dark blonde(now going grey on front and top, but not on my nape).
I have worn highlights for all of my adult life-which
suited me well, but I found during the
years bleaching made my hair more and more thinner, plus my skin on my head and face
has become very sensitive to chemicals and prone to allergies and rougenes-so started
coloring it all at home with L’Oreal Glossy Blondes(has no ammoniac)-but then the color is not really intense and fades
quickly....I find nr 3-4 is the color IRL.
I have to
dye my eyebrows (brown) as well for not looking like I don’t have them.nr 4..
Oh, and forgot
to say, my face is wide and square shaped with a strong jaw line(nr. 7)—and would also need my hair to hide somehow my
hearing aids.(so cannot tuck hair behind ears or left them uncovered-(even if
there was a time in my youth I liked wearing it long and in a high pony tail-look at nr. 5).
I know,
have the most issues of all with my hairL but, I put me out here because I trust
you fab ladies and hope you can advise me on:
-a more flattering,
easy to style, good cut(and cutting techniques)-so I can look groomed on second
day, too?
-managing
cowlicks, limpiness (will teasing, dry shampoo, straightening/curling irons help?)
-color (and
techniques of maintaining it without damaging hair)
-styling
-supplements
-or anything
connected to the thema.
Thanks for
your kind help, reading so far to the end of my whinnings is a true accomplishment and I can
really appreciate-pls. forgive me for venting here.
(I try to
stay positive, and you see I smile a lot (like nr.6), but when I forget or get engaged in
doing something I probably have quite of that inexpressive face (like nr. 7)…which
also bothers me…when and how did that all happen???)
