Dear YLF,

I miss participating and posting so much, but on the other hand some other things still demand my time and energy (and I hope to have good news to share soon).

And just before February expires, I thought I should make some effort and indulge in what's become my own YLF tradition - revisiting the very first set of outfits I had posted 4 years ago, after lurking and reading and then participating on the forum for months. Remember your own excitement and trepidation when you posted your own first WIWs?

Some of you know I did similar series' of posts in the past. Basically, except in 2013, around the week that marks my anniversary of posting the first WIWs, I used the old daily outfits as the inspiration for the outfit I would wear now.

I'm starting this year's series with very simple outfit which does not reflect any trends or my own style shifts. What it does showcase is my own uncompromising condition that the outfit must be comfortable and serve me well on the day. It's cycling friendly, I wore it to run some errands in town. In fact, I probably wore this very outfit - or very similar one - in the past too. The outfit features key pieces and reduced colour scheme as well as silhouettes that have been the core of my winter wardrobe, as mentioned in my thread from the end of last year. One visible change is that I've dropped playing with red and purple in one outfit (purple hose don't count I guess). Also, I no longer wear the black cardigan from 2014, it's in donation pile, but all other pieces are still in my wardrobe.

Nothing Earth shattering, but I hope time travel collage will make things a bit more interesting for you

Thanks for stopping by. Comments welcome as always.
