Zara pants sizing?

Sorry if this has already been covered, but can anyone tell me how Zara pants sizing fits? I've had very little success with Zara jackets, but I'm hopeful that their slouchy pants that are too short on the 5'9" models might just be perfect 8" "longer" on me and would like to place an order...

I haven't tried on their pants, but know their sizing tends to be on the smaller size....bumping for those who have Zara pants.

In my experience, Zara pants run small, but not as small as Zara tops - maybe half a size. I am an AT 4 and can be either a small or a medium (4 or 6) in Zara pants.

The slouchy pants I've tried were cut to be really slouchy - even the smalls would have required altering the waist to stay on. (This is common for me though.)

The pair I have were ankle length on the model and are 29 1/4 inseam. I had to let the hem out though, I can't remember how long they were before I did that.

I would try a size up. I am typically a medium in almost every other retailer I can think of, but consistently need a large in Zara. However, that's been mostly in tops and skirts. Perhaps the newer slouchy items are cut to be really slouchy.

I generally wear either a 4 or 6 in pants. I have one pair of Zara skinny jeans and they are a size 6. They are a stretchy denim so actually fit a little big on me. The length hits right at my ankle with no scrunch which is fine for skinny jeans but may be too short in other styles (I'm 5'6").

Zara sizes generally run a bit small. There is a weird discrepancy between the numbered sizes and the lettered sizes too - basically Zara thinks a size 8 is a Large, so in their pants I am a 10 (in other brands I am 8-10) but somewhere between Large and XLarge (which is annoying because a lot of times things only go up to L in Zara). i have much better luck with the numbered sizes. The size chart is pretty accurate, I think.

Thanks, all. I usually wear XS or S in regular (non-petite) sizing, or a 4P. I think I'll try the S, although I'm wondering if I should also order the M. I can always return. I'm glad to hear about the inseam length, CF, as the help line couldn't tell me that.
