ETA Pics Added! Zara has a crossover trouser -- K/R?

Fabric is flowy poly, so I think these will be easier to wear (and buy, given price!) than the R13s.

I just ordered both the trousers and the oversized sweatshirt -- I thought both of these items presented a really modern Spring silhouette at a fabulous price. Let's hope the quality and fit are adequate.

Update:
The pants are a fail on me. Can you BELIEVE the way my backside looks in these! Granted I stuck my rear right in front of the lens, so a super unflattering angle. But they are very lightweight material which will prompt my brother to day "some fries with that shake?"

So these went straight back to the Zara on Post St. But I kept the fashion sweatshirt, plus got another one to compare with. Which white sweatshirt is better on me? 4/5 or 6/7?

Denise, I totally agree that those trousers do nothing for your fab self -- onwards and upwards!

I prefer the second top by a billion percent -- it's drapey rather than stiff and bulky.

Oh those pants are not your friend. Though if they don't look good on your amazing figure, I'm thinking they will be an epic fail on 99.9% of the general population. I actually like both tops. The deliberate oversize of the first one is quite interesting in how it holds the structure. I like but it is a truly fashion forward sort of thing. The second one has a great texture, a flattering shape and a cool zipper. Keep both.

OK - did you try the next size up? To me, it seems like they would work if you wore them lower - like down on you hips - and then you wouldn't have the issue in the back (which, by the way, to me - looks fab - I can only dream of having a bum like that!)

I think that I'm really wanting these to work for you so that I can live vicariously through you - just like I am with your R13's.

I have a gift cert to Zara and am very tempted to try these!

Oh, I meant to add one more thing. I have a pair of wrap pants coming in the mail, they should arrive on Monday. I've already had one major wrap pant fail a few months ago, and I'm fearing I may be in store for another. LOL

Marley -- no I didn't try a size up, I should have! The fabric is like a clingy blouse material, to be honest. Whenever I have blouses like that, where the fabric clings to my bust, tummy and butt, they turn into orphans. Even when made out of silk. I live in an area with very low humidity, year round (except when it rains) so static is part of my life.

I was hoping these were a thicker fabric. If they were a better viscose, rayon or tencel they would be perfect.

This has been a learning exercise, fabric matters so much and I will avoid clingy polys and silks for any type of clothing (even a scarf) from now on.

CinnamonFern -- I know they are terrible and I feel I deserve some credit for posting some really unflattering pictures on the internet! LOL!

Tina -- I love your suggestion of keeping both sweatshirts! I love the architectural nature of the first one and like the way it looks with skinnies. The second one is a less edgy silhouette. Both garments but especially the first one, are of good quality. In fact the first one is comparable in quality to a Marc by Marc Jacobs fashion sweatshirt I also got in SF, yet was a fraction of the price.

Zara is still fairly hit or miss!

You do! You always look fab in your WIWs, so I kind of assumed, oh, she's one of those people who looks great in absolutely everything. It's interesting to learn that if the pants are bad enough, they can make anyone look bad!

I prefer the second sweatshirt because I'm a sucker for zippers, but I mostly just wanted to thank you for doing such a selfless public service for the YLF community. Who knows how many of us you've saved from disappointment by posting those pant pics.

good thought on sizing up. love the pants from the front. not so much from the back in the current size.

r-13s are so much more flattering with the firmer fabric.

I agree, the fabric on the pants is not nearly as good as the R13s. The sweatshirt looks pretty cool, though!

Too bad about the pants, but you made the right choice.

As far as the sweatshirts, I prefer the one in 6/7. It looks great on you.
The width of the sleeves in 4/5 bugs me, but otherwise I like the boxy fit.

Goodness, if these don't work for you, there's little hope for the rest of the world! Zara sizing and quality is hit or miss in my experience. I will still order now and then because it's free, but it can be exasperating. Your R13s are so much better.

I'm really disappointed about the pants. I know some have said size up but these look too big to me? I LOVE the sweatshirt in 4/5 please keep it is stunning. Reminds me of this from one of Angie's Pinterest boards

I like the 2nd sweatshirt. Exposing your wrists makes it look oversized and flattering, rather than just making you look bigger. Love it!!
