Ok. Now that IS a Super Power. I’m usually wearing my three-pairs-ago glasses because I never know where I put my current ones!

Mine is more like a curse - I always wear white pants the day my period starts. I recently needed to back track dates to try to establish my cycle length and went through my outfit pics looking for white pants. Sorry if that's TMI.

I bags always being able to find cute and unusual shoes! But I bet I share that with heaps of you. And my DH says being Captain Matchy-Matchy is also one of mine

My superpower is being able to make lip balm magically appear from my pocket at all times. That, and making hats look cute (according to my mom and grandmother, at least).

And my superhero mission is to rescue unloved striped tops and give them a home.

Sterling, I think one of your superpowers is helping others find clarity. Pretty sure you've got others, too!

Wearing any and all clothes like they were pyjamas.

I remembered my best one. When Wearing Nice Clothes on Holiday, Always Being Photographed With a Cocktail in Hand so I Look Like an Alcoholic.
Apologies to any of you who actually have an alcohol problem! I do watch my number of standard drinks very carefully on holiday. I do like cocktails, such fun variation and pretty presentations! We just got back from holiday yesterday and I think this superpower was shown at least once in our photos!

Jenni, lol! Have you seen the humor piece about Soft Surroundings? It highlights the way women in that catalogue nearly always have a glass of wine.
I appreciate your sensitivity to anyone with a drinking problem and hope likewise that no one feels attacked by my comment.

Somehow, despite picky feet and a willingness to invest in the right footwear, my super-power is often lucking into my favorite quality brands at very steep discounts. Not only through the usual sales, but random finds at The Rack, Nordstrom, etc. I once had a pair of Munro's ring up for a penny at the Rack. They were marked $29.99. Especially surprising as my feet are a very common size.

Ok, I’m impressed re the Munro’s...

I think I have two: the ability to find cool shoes for my fussy feet (as in people at work say I always have cool shoes), and the ability to effortlessly drape a scarf or wrap and have it look good and STAY PUT.

I change up my bag daily to co-ordinate with what I am wearing. I mainly do this, because it forces me to "clean-out" my handbag on a daily basis and I don't find random items in there from months prior. Once I found 10 pens in my handbag and was wondering where all the pens had got to.

I can make crazy headdresses as a multi-use items in different venues.

For others I seem to do well on closet sorts, editing, and remixing.
I once suggested cutting off useless fussy buttons off a shirt and salvaged it for a few more season.

Ability to buy lots of expensive things and wear about 20% of them :-/

What a fun thread! Sara, I laughed out loud at your curse-superpower.

My first superpower is that I can manage to seemingly stuff an infinite number of items into my closet without it getting too overstuffed.

My second superpower is that I can find an abundance of cute tops...but they are *just* short enough that I need high-waisted bottoms to go with them, and I have only one pair of said bottoms! Note to self: Buy more high-rise bottoms.

LOL Jenni. Very thoughtful of you to think of those who might struggle with an alcohol problem. I share that superpower with you. There are lots of pictures of me holding a glass of wine and I drink about one glass of wine a year if that.

And Sara I too shared that superpower when I was younger. Another reason for me not to own white pants!

You do have a way with headdress, Anna!

I think the wine glass pics and the anorak pics are related Super Powers...

Speaking of curses and tops... yes, somehow many of my tops become the wrong length after about a year...

My jumpers never pill.
Probably I’m so lethargic, there’s no friction to make pills.

Omg. I make EVERYTHING pill. Something happened to my bedsheets... I don’t know what I did! I mean they’re smooth cotton, not flannel or anything!

LOL! I posted what I learned, not my superpower! My wardrobe superpower is my ability to buy clothes that fit my lifestyle. Another superpower I have is to put together a polished look that adheres to my style statement. (Maybe it is a superpower to create a style statement that works?). I also think I’m particularly good with accessories. I get lots of complements on my entire look, but even more on my accessories. I love the add ons. My glasses, my bangles, necklaces, scarves, belts, handbags and footwear are all chosen with great care to create a pulled together look.

Those are great super powers, Staysfit.

Yeah, I’ve been zapped away from accessories by the kryptonite that factory health and safety rules are...

These are so fun to read!

My superpower is helping my DD2 acquire her workwear wardrobe. She wears modern classics really well and looks fabulous , but when shopping she does not tend to look at or try on enough things. When I go with her, I’ll say, try this jacket, look at these pants, get these shoes and will keep ferrying things to the fitting room that she would have passed by, but that look great on her. I feel great that many items we got 2-3 years ago are still working as “ wardrobe essentials “ and we have fun building on capsules and updating when we get a chance to shop together.

hmmmm....
i have the abilty to keep shoes looking fab for years.....such that i wore a pair of stuart weitzman suede boots this week that are 10 years old and they looks like new

Unfrumped, I wonder how many here learned such good habits from their parents.

This is the most fun I've had all week. Thanks for starting it, Rachylou, and thanks everyone for sharing! (I've been envisioning plants draped in jewellery...inspiration for my annual pin-the-bright-mini-lights-on-the elephant ears holiday decor...)

Like Laura, I'm understudying Team Spotless Whites in Any Situation, but I'm also noted for my unerring ability to Hone in on the Most Expensive Item in any bricks-and-mortar store.

Still, I think my strongest Superpower is Online Ordering. I can almost always pick the right item and size based on reviews -- I am even brave enough to order bras and shoes! As Celia said of her own Superpower, mine is not innate but I have carefully cultivated it ever since I joined YLF.

Suz's "unerring ability to Hone in on the Most Expensive Item in any bricks-and-mortar store" sounds like me too.

Otherwise, mine is getting by on 12-20 new items a year.

Suz- I share the Hone in on the most expensive item in a brick and mortar store for all types of items (from art to kitchenware). And for some reason, every time, the sales person looks gobsmacked that I would choose said pricey item. I guess I don't give off an air of having refined taste lol

So fun Rach! Never thought about this, but it's an amusing way take a positive look at our wardrobe skills.
My ironical superpower: the uncanny ability to literally multiply clothes, to the point it jumps out of every box, every armoire, cloister, dresser, closet, drawer and even from under the bed. And this, despite regular purges for the delight of coworkers, family and beyond. I look at it and think here went the house I should have bought. BUT I do wear all of it! Or at least dutifully try to.
My true superpower: I simply love building outfits and trying new things.

I too can find and prefer the most expensive item. My husband can confirm this.

The power to Shop Online is awe inspiring. Truly awe inspiring. As is the ability to pick for others (I’m a terrible gift giver, while at an easy gift-getter, hehe).

Keeping shoes in good condition... also needs a Bat Signal (!)

Anne, your restraint is pretty incredible... yessss... the house and vacation house and Jaguar station wagon that could have been mine are all hanging off a Victorian Plant Stand... lol...

As for Expensive Tastes... I can see this is Justice League stuff... join forces peeps, join forces!!
