This is the first time in my many years (I am old) that I can walk into my closet and come up with at least one, and sometimes more, outfits for any unexpected events that come up. Yesterday had to attend a funeral. I had two good choices-one a charcoal sweater dress with black tights and a dark tan leather jacket. The other, the one I wore, black ankle pants with a cream sweater and dark olive blazer and an olive and black scarf. Only issue, was not thrilled with footwear. I had to purge pumps as they suddenly started falling off my feet. I ended up wearing an old pair of wedge ankle booties. They however were fine for walking in the grass at grave site.

We are going to a New Years eve party-one we have never attended before-so not sure how glitzy or dressy this will be-But I shall not go out and buy anything new--I have a velvety knee length skirt-now can wear either a sparkley sweater, a black and white sparkly top, or a gold lame long cardi with black cami, black semi sheer stockings and sling back 2 inch heeled pumps. I am restraining myself from going on the hunt for some dressier footwear like gold booties-
