Your thoughts on fun bags for spring?

I have an updated bag on my wishlist for spring and that seems like a weather-neutral thing to shop for while it is still chilly outside! I was hoping for something smallish with an option to carry on my arm or crossbody. It would be used on days I don't take my lunch to work, weekends, touring, maybe outdoor festivals, but doesn't have to work with everything I own.

1. Material Girl satchel in baby blue
2. Material Girl satchel in stripe
3. Guess leather crossbody with studs
4. Coach top handle bag in "quartz" (ebay stalking...)

YES !!!! Fantastic idea. Oh boy, I really like them all. The striped one really calls. I also love 1, but I am afraid that the color may look outdated when we move on from pastels.

I have the last one in a ruby color and I love it. It's a beautiful shape, the leather is gorgeous, and it's a nice compact size. That color that you have posted is amazing. It looks like a beautiful modern neutral that would be in your bag collection and wearable for a long time. I absolutely love this style.

However, if you want something that has a trendier, cooler vibe, then I would probably vote for #1 -- which is equally beautiful but to me has less longevity.

These are all great bags by the way. I am in the market for a spring/summer bag ... probably leaning more toward a trendier purchase and possibly in white, but I love all of your choices.

Sorry I've been so slow to respond - thanks all for the helpful input! At the Toronto meetup I took another look at #1/2 which I decided are a bit larger than I would like, and not as nice in person, though I love the ice blue colour of #1. Then #4 popped back up on ebay at a reasonable price so I pounced. I am very excited to receive it!

I love #1! But I think such a light color would hard to keep looking nice. Of course, you may not be so hard on bags like I am

I love both 1 and 2, but see where #2 would fulfill most of your needs. The powder blue one seems just a bit dressier or for more professional venues.

Good point, Thistle, I am a bag destroyer! I spilled coffee inside my Kate Spade beau just a week or so ago and thanked the gods of clutzes and handbags profusely when the lining rejected the liquid and it wiped right out.

I like 1,2 & 4. I don't know your style or wardrobe so I can't say which is the best purchase but I love the quality if Coach bags & as mentioned, the style has some longevity. You got that one and I think you will be happy with it.
