Your opinion, please. Could a rectangle wear this?

I have 3 occasions in September/October and this dress would be perfect for all three (I think). I drove an hour and a half to the Anthro store near me to try this dress on, and they didn't have it. Grrrr...So, I'm going to have to order it. It's a bit pricey for me, but it's been one of those "I can't stop thinking about it" items for me, so I'm leaning toward ordering it.

Does this look like something that would work for a Rectangle with IT tendencies? I'm concerned about the waist - that I'll look like a brick b/c I don't have a natural waist.

Yes, try it! The ruching and pockets will help add curves to your hips and the v-neck will draw attention to your face and away from the waist.

You could also wear a dark solid belt for waist definition.

I think it's definitely worth a try. The V is quite low (on the model) so you might need a cami. It looks a bit like a kimono, so if you are not short-waisted, you could try a wider solid colour belt, obi-style? It looks elegant. ORDER. We are not in NZ where you can't return!

I ordered it! Apparently, I just needed someone else to say, "Try it!" LOL. It's the most I've ever spent on a dress before, including my wedding dress! So, needless to say, it had better be an 11 or I'll be sending it back.

I think there's smoke coming off my credit card.

I think so! I'm a rectangle and I can imagine this giving some shape. As AJ suggested, you might want to try a black belt but you might not need it either. It's a great dress, I hope it works out!
