This is all so interesting to me. I've always had an unusual fascination with people's housekeeping practices, which is why you would probably never want to sit near me at a party. (Woo hoo -- preferred methods for keeping the tile clean! Good times.)
For those of you who hate doing the shower, this is my method. Every morning while I'm showering, I grab the Magic Eraser and hit one portion of the tile and tub. I have it sort of mentally divided into four segments, and one gets done each day. I find being in the shower very enjoyable, so the extra one minute I spend doing this does not feel like work. After I'm out, I dry down the tiles and tub. I use my son's old diapers (yes, he's 17), which are flannel on one side and terry on the other.
I can't get my son to do this in his shower, so he just uses copious amounts of the sort of shower spray you spray on daily when it's wet and that also seems to work fine. If he ever took baths I would worry about that stuff getting into the bath water, but I don't think he's had a bath since he was ten.
