Blue gets my vote. Like others, I've found grey a tricky colour and donated a handful of not worn grey shoes because they never seemed to "fit in".

I love your white trousers! Makes me think I try that direction instead of skinny white jeans?

JAileen, don't they look more like taupe here? But on the shelf they are totally gray, not a hint of warmth or gold in their shade. I think it's a weird special effect from the patent combined with my pale, cool skin.

Bijou, thank you, your comment IS very useful. Your impression is the same as mine, but you bring up a good point: the gray would be useful with shorter hems, which I have been shying away from for lack of nice shoes to wear it with... (I'd wear the skirts and dress shown here with boots or booties, or with flat sandals, which is another look entirely).

CocoLion, wow! Thank you! Your list matches my own preferences too. It's eye opening to take pictures and see them on me this way. Blue ones ARE really popping blue, but I realize that once on me, they tend to loose their bright, blue pigment quality. I imagine they would look terrific on a gal with darker, tan or olive skin. On my they are cute, but just sometimes cute and don't pop as much with everything. Again, I suspect the patent to play a role in this.

Harmonica, I was afraid of the same thing. And you are right, in general gray matte shoes are hard to match. But these, because of the high gloss, almost look taupe. I hear your caution though.
As for the pants, these were actually hand me downs from friends' rich neighbor's teenage daughter (never worn, with the tag still on it) from the store H&M. Last year, I wore them sometimes feeling very conscious about the larger leg look, because my eye was still into the skinny silhouette. This year, though, I am in love with them and feeling more confident too. I feel I will get a lot of wear from these. They are lined, which make them more comfortable IMO.

I love the total motion line! The comfort is insane and they stay on my foot!
Anyway...I've seen the blue in person and know what you mean about how they stand out. The blue is really quite an eye-catching powder blue.

I do strongly prefer the grey with the white pants, but I prefer the blue with your floral skirts, as the grey reads rather serious. I also prefer the blue with your blue suit.

The grey is more formal, and perhaps better for work, whereas the blue would be good for work and play. There is definitely a lot of fun in the blue shoes.

The grey does look neutral on you but it's not that peachy neutral that you expect. The peach neutrals seem to have that element of fun which is lacking in the grey shoes (although maybe the patent does bring back some fun.)

If there's a way, maybe you should keep both pairs.

Bettycrocker, I wish. But at CAN $150 each, I just can't justify it.

After seeing your pics, I vote grey all the way. They offer a slightly more sophisticated look than the blue to my eye, and I agree they look more taupe. The cream pants outfit in 9-10 is stunning!

Thank you Aliona. I am now also leaning towards that choice now.

If you're just going to get one pair I would hand down go with the light blue. They look so fresh with all the outfits.

Thanks for putting up all the outfits. Franklin I prefer the gray (though the blue isn't all bad) in every outfit except the jeans in Picture 11. Maybe it's my non-affection for pastels... since I do tend to like colored shoes. But I do like your outfits - all are fab for spring.

I was all for the blue for all the previously discussed reasons, until I saw the pics. Now I think it should be the grey hands down. ON YOU, the grey reads as a cool neutral, leg lengthening, just the right amount of warmth for your skin tone, it even matches your jacket tonally. ON YOU, the blue is JUST contrasty enough to look a bit off. So you would look OK but with a subliminal sense of your feet being cold or something.

I vote for the gray!

Here's my reasoning:

- the blue reads as an accent colour, while the grey seems like a neutral. But in my experience, grey shoes don't make the best neutral because they often don't quite "go" with the rest of the outfit. The blue, on the other hand, doesn't have to match anything else, it being an accent.

- the blue is simply prettier. And I say this from the point of view of someone who generally loves and wears a lot of grey.

For me, I'd get the gray. I'm not fond of icy blue in general however so my opinion is a bit biased.

Ack, I can see why this is hard!

I think the gray, as noted by others, does not read "difficult gray" but reads as a gorgeous, sophisticated nude-neutral on you--more special than the beigey-nudes that are ubiquitous, so it has a bit of its own presence, but still just that touch unobtrusive so the eye is not drawn right to the feet.

The blue IS fresh and reads more as a spring-white shoe because it does contrast more than the gray, though it is more multi-season than white.

Since for me, perfect nude-like shoes are a HEWI and I find the gray shoe outfits more appealing--those are how I prefer to look rather than have light-colored footwear contrast, I would get those, but I totally would understand if you love the blue and want to create those outfits.

I much prefer the brighter light blue. Punchy. Crisp. Modern.

Krish, has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Naomi Watts? Especially with your longer hair.

Wow! Tough choice! I was all set for the gray, now re-considering the blue... Thank you for your input though! It shows I'm not the only one hesitating on this one.

Aziraphale, what a great way to look at it: accent color. It didn't occur to me but yes, and as such, non-neutral non-conventional colors on accessories become most utilitarian. It's true that this is a pretty blue.

Aviahmaria, Aziraphale, Angie: you make me want the blue now.

cjh, Bettycrocker, texstyle, unfrumped, I tend to think like you. Unfrumped, you summed it up beautifully, more than I could, and IRL it's exactly as you say it. These gray shoes look like they have their own presence, as much as the blue, so the uniqueness is there still... except without the blue's oomph.

But L'Abeille, your comment speaks to me: the cold feet image is convincing me! Ok I don't want cold feet! In whatever I do! And in any sense of the word either! I much prefer warmth. lol.

Angie, thank you for the compliment. Naomi Watts is one of my favorite actresses.

Blue! Blue! They look fresher with your outfits and I think they're prettier with your skin tone too, that shade of grey just kind of goes flat.
You are absolutely lovely and Angie is so right about the Naomi Watts resemblance.

Am I too late to say blue?

I was all set to say blue until I saw the additional photos. I believe the grey look better in virtually every photo, and they function as a very sophisticated neutral on you. For some reason, the blue don't seem to "pop" when you wear them the way I thought they would; to me they just seem light enough to be distracting.

I returned the blue ones today.
Now that I did it, of course, I regret it, instantaneously.
But I comfort myself in thinking that next year, the baby blue might not be in anymore, whereas the gray will still be handy.

...it's SO hard to choose. I've been looking at both pairs (and all the others in the same line) and am paralysed with indecision. Either one is a good choice, IMO, and WELL worth the $150 for a really comfortable, all day pump.

I'm sure your feet will thank you for finding and buying comfy pumps. Either color would have been great, but I still think the gray ones will probably prove to be the most versatile.

Thanks so much guys. Can't wait to wear them now that I am set.

Wow...how did I miss this before?

I love almost all of these, #5&17 being top favourites. You're a reallllyyyy beautiful woman...and yes, you do look a lot like Naomi Watts.

I personally think that grey shoes are easier to style than icy blue. They're not more 'statement-y', but they're easier to add to an outfit as compared to blue. I personally have never had a problem wearing greys....I simply don't try to match them, or else, I wear them like a neutral with other colors. This shade of grey is great with blues, B&W, pinks, and greys. I have a pair of sandals in the icy blue color and struggle to wear them. They seem to look good only with dark blues & greys, especially jeans.

Hurray! I am so glad you made a decision, and FWIW, I think you made the right one. Like I said before, I think the grey go with almost every outfit you posted, and I think they will end up being real wardrobe workhorses. Next time when you are ready to buy a pair of shoes, your grey neutrals will still be going strong and you can add a trendy colour without a second thought!

I am too late for your decision but may I say you are looking fantastic! Good gracious, your hair grew so fast and looks lovely on you!
